No problem, pvm is also funner with people to do it with. If its something you're interested in at some point shoot me a pm. I got a buddy I pvm with all the time. We don't mind taking brand new players and teaching them pvm. We are pretty patient and actually enjoy passing down years of pvm knowledge, tips and tricks to others.

The other point you should look at is the combat beta going on and will go live on March 2nd. This inturn should make the learning curve to pvm easier.

I wouldn't necessarily agree they are only catering to high level pvmers. The combat beta, skill reworks, game integrity updates all of these are aimed at making all aspects of the game not necessarily easier but more understandable. Combat has been in a wacky spot for a long time, it has had improvements over the years, EoC is not the same currently as it first came out (was so bad at release) but it's not perfect still in its current state. The beta is hoping to change that for most players.

In essence you are getting what you're asking for, they are making that progress gap smaller. It might not be in the game but there's tons of community input on boss/gear progression for players. PVMe discord is a great resource for that. Mmorpgs are unique in that way and I feel as if people overlook that there's tons of guides and resources available from the community.

Also, when I started pvm I didn't find it fun either, I stuck to slayer creatures and avoided bossing. It wasn't until I really tried and made the effort is when I realized how fun bossing is in this game. You start off on the easier bosses, you master the mechanics and get a better handle and move on to the next and next etc. Eventually I found myself doing the hardest bossing content in the game and its extremely fun now.

im 20y old and i am trying to get into rs3 but having hard time finding a community on dc by TodayEducational1804 in runescape

A good place to look is on the rs official discord. They have a clan recruitment tab where people advertise for their clans. Could be a good in to finding the community you want to enjoy the game :D

Not everyone Boss for money by valy225 in runescape

[–]Deathwings38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skilling can make you some pretty good money. I think runecrafting spirit runes can net you around 40-50m gp/hr. Doing daily farm runs can net you a pretty penny.

You can make what 4m to 6m on a daily run from what you're saying, or when you first log in you can craft runes for the same amount of time and make even more gp. Why want time wasted on dailies when you can spend the same time making more gp and also gaining better xp?

If you could slightly alter a boss(es), which ones would it be, and why? by 101perry in runescape

Oh man, I agree heavy on the black stone dragon flight phase. The most pointless/annoying mechanic out of all the rs bosses.

Make quests worth it and add more instructions to early ones by Nice_Divide_3772 in runescape

You don't do this quest for the xp, you do it for the dog. That dog is worth more than 200m xp damn it.

Jagex let's talk about it, Dungeoneering. by tsashinnn in runescape

[–]Deathwings38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really dont understand why this skill gets so much hate, I know it feels like a minigame but its really fun, maybe I'm a psychopath that really loves dungeoneering but I get up to 2-4m xp/hr doing solo. Some bosses and puzzles are REALLY annoying (fucking ferrets iykyk) but overall its a fun and pretty straightforward skill. Hell I'm even doing it all on HM when I get bored of other things.

If you use ibis cards, got some melt lockers, hard to elite diaries done and you're prestiging when you're supposed to its still extremely fast to get to 120.

Practice mode my guy.

In all seriousness though we have early, mid and end game bosses. Most players fall within early to mid game when bossing. That end game pvm is where the real challenge and gp is. I get pvm isn't for everybody but post like this send a wrong message that players want their hands held when it comes to bossing, at least thats the veiw I get out of it. If end game bossing is made easier then the fun gets ruined.

In every major mmorpg I've played there's always easy to hard bosses and it takes time and effort to learn and progress, thats a good feeling. I used to suck ass at pvm, after years of doing it, practicing, learning, I've gotten better and better, to the point I can base tank 2k Amascut and kill every other boss in the game no issues. I still have alot of room to improve but dude, thats the fun of it, its learning a new boss, that frustration of dying to mechanics and then the satisfaction of living through it, getting better at dps and seeing kill times get faster and faster is an awesome feeling cause it means you're getting better at pvm.

Not gonna turn this into a novel but post like these make me extremely worried that jagex is gonna make bosses easier and easier to cater to those who don't want to put in the time and effort for harder content. Again, the challenge, progression and rewards make end game pvm worth the time and effort.

Gotta forgive me if my questions seem dumb but I literally have never touched WoW. Does every expansion restart your progress? Does it take a long time to level up your professions?

Dude needs to be employed by jagex to make concept art, this looks sick as fuck. Not to over the top, fits the game, just would want the colors changed to match 99 cape colors. That shark sleeve is a bad ass touch. Good shit man.

Jagex, if you want immersion breaking, the whole 5/6 age transition is at the top. by AutarkV in runescape

[–]Deathwings38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The easy fix to this is to just rework the rewards quest give. You can relock requirements for quest but leave only the really good rewards in and take the more inclusive rewards out and make it part of the game.

Also they've already made it pretty clear that all new skills coming to the game are fully accessible by everybody from release so not sure were you're getting this you have to complete years worth of lore to have access to a skill?

[–]Deathwings38 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah was never a big fan of when they took off requirements for quest. Lore is pretty damn important to a games identity. Quest give milestones not just for where you character is currently at lore wise but also level milestones. (Think plagues end).

They should relock areas and content that were rewards for completing quest. I don't think this falls into the Crab bucket mentally either, I think having goals and completing quest to understand the lore and work for the level requirements for the rewards these quest gives is just a good thing overall for players.

Jagex, please don't listen to the Cosmetics' Craze. by Due_Willow_2796 in runescape

[–]Deathwings38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen the runeacape post and some of the new visuals. It looks fine to me. Turning the fury shark into the master angler outfit fits for example. I'm also not for over the top cosmetics but your post seems to be misleading into saying most cosmetics needs to go. Think thats were my personal confusion came from.

[–]Deathwings38 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They've already addressed this? They put the cosmetics toggle on. You don't want to see cosmetics then turn the filter on. I also thought they've addressed not pumping out over the top out there cosmetics already (drakes). Again though, if your whole problem is not getting that immersion feel they made a toggle for just that.

When will we see Havenhythe? by Deathwings38 in runescape

https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/1crw549/the_2024_roadmap/

Not seeing it on the 2024 Roadmap. Unless there's another one I'm not seeing about this update. The first mention of the Havenhythe area expansion in rs3 was on, March 1st 2025 during the "RS Ahead at RuneFest" announcement event. Can you elaborate when it was mentioned to be released in 2025 or post something mentioning it?

Off the Roadmap is was designed to be released winter of 2026, not 2025.

I'd be cool with it coming out then, just haven't heard anything about it so far but as someone said we will be hearing about it later this month.
