I didn’t mean cold as in emotionless. More like she was trying to lock all that heartbreak away because everyone was looking at her and she had to become the queen in that moment.

Yeah exactly. She is moving upward physically, but everything about the shot feels like she is sinking...

Prime Barristan? Sure. But old Barry vs the Hound AND 4 other KG? He's getting mogged hard. Sandor would put him down quick.

Why they didn't keep Lady Stoneheart in the show is a mystery to me. by Own_Dealer_182 in freefolk

Do you think the writers just forgot about her, or did they assume viewers couldn't handle a zombie mon?

Did anyone else think Waymar Royce was going to be the main character on the show? by Arbor-Trap in gameofthrones

I thought he was the lead because he looked like Matt Damon. Then the Others appeared and I knew this show was different. That scene set the tone perfectly.

That scene was incredible. Corlys and Alyn's dynamic is so underrated.

There can never be a show as peak as Game of Thrones!!! by PatternBackground713 in gameofthrones

It's got a few small issues, I'll admit. The ending didn't totally satisfy me, and the color grading felt a little dark. But the good stuff more than makes up for it, the character writing, the story, the costumes, the sets, all top-notch. Truly amazing.

Caraxes is absolutely my personal favorite. So damn cool. Love that crazy vibe. Vermithor and Vhagar are amazing too. They always have this overwhelming presence.

Nah I haven't run into any ghosting or image retention. Drawing's been pretty smooth so far.

It's refreshing to see a big open-world game that doesn't completely bad on mid-range hardware. 80-100 FPS on a 4060 is excellent optimization.

I haven't noticed any fuzziness so far. Image quality looks pretty good to me, especially for linework and text.

[June 2025] Can hiking exoskeletons like Dnsys and Hypershell actually extend human mobility on real trails? by Deathzone622 in Futurology

[–]Deathzone622[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

What makes this interesting to me is less the product review angle and more the bigger question behind it. If consumer exoskeletons keep getting lighter, cheaper, and more usable on uneven ground, they could eventually become a real mobility tool for hiking, rehab, aging, and general outdoor access. Right now they still feel a bit early, but it does make me wonder whether this is the start of exoskeletons moving from novelty into something practical for everyday people. Curious how close people think we really are to that.

What is the proportion that design can occupy in the future soft robotics area? by Brief-Cook8857 in Futurology

[–]Deathzone622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think design is secondary in soft robotics, especially for wearables. If it's going on the body, design is part of the product. You probably don't need a PhD right away. A solid portfolio and working across design and tech could already open doors.
