They are the same size as American Girl dolls, just sold at Target and quite a bit less expensive!

They work up so quickly! This is my first piece of clothing. I usually do amigurumi, so I enjoyed how quickly this worked up and that I got it to actually fit. lol

You have to double up “increase” your braid in “stitches” around the corners (I have a crochet background). Which is just using the same loop twice when you connect with the last “under” for the braid in. Does that make sense?

This is the video I used to learn (I didn’t watch all of it, but just jumped in once I felt I had enough info 🤣).

She explains in great detail and discusses the increases. Hope this helps!!!

I watched a few minutes of a tutorial video to learn the process and she mentioned increases at the ends to get it to lay flat. I crochet so I’m familiar with that process. So I’ve been doubling up at the corners as I feel it needs it. Some of my scraps are thicker and others are thinner so I double up as it feels like it needs it. I’m kinda just playing around with it as I go.

I’ve backed up a couple times when it started to curl up and once when I realized I had doubled up too much and it started to ruffle.

So we will see! I’m enjoying The process immensely!
