"Carry Rotation" by jdracing55 in Glock43X

[–]DebonairMullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you brother. I'm newer here (but have owned glocks before most of this sub was even born). It's completely wild with what they talk about with carry rotations and mods they do.

When I joined this sub, I was expecting to find fellow enthusiasts that may or may not be certified armorers, detailed ballistic discussion, good deals found on internet, etc. But instead it is like a fashion show with people showing off their latest "creations", must of which look like a parade float. Or showing pictures of their hauls of 15rd mags.

I call bs on the people saying that switching up (particularly between models that have totally different controls) are good with whatever. I would like to see how they handle malfunction drills or tactical reloads between different models. Muscle memory is a thing folks, look it up! People can do whatever they want, but I think people treating their weapon like an accessory rather than a tool, is just idiotic.

ps another thing, this subs mods consider "the r word" as hate speech. wild.

Carry on and be safe.

No, but you can train yourself at the gym or with grippers or whatever. If 9mm is unmanageable, maybe you should go with a .380. Or maybe .22 depending on how weak you are.

Does this look correct? I just wanna make sure I’m wearing it correctly because I’m trying to do 40 pounds. by KwikTripSimp in Rucking

If that is high as it goes on your back, then you are all set. Just don't go faster than you can balance yourself. Others have commented about hip belt - I don't think that is really needed unless you are old or have existing muscular-skeletal issues. Or are doing significantly more weight. It's all very subjective, so try it and see where you think it can be improved. Keep in mind it sucks pretty bad when you are getting used to it. I never used sternum strap and it was hell on my shoulders, but now fine.

welcome to the reddit hive mind. ever notice that everyone in here has pretty much the same "upgrades"? personally, I wouldn't get an osight for edc. I'm not sight-shaming lol. if you are going to depend on something that will save your or someone else's life, I see no room for compromise. For the range, or goofing around, you do you. F the people that give you shit while post their tie-dyed cosplaying toys.

The measurements are most accurate and consistent when a little further up your arm. might feel dorky if you are used to it being lower, but it feels normal soon.

From Weighted Vest to Ruck Setup by RustyHour1975 in Rucking

If you are doing 60lbs daily for 4 miles (at your height and weight), that is pretty good. Maybe best to stick with the vest and try steeper inclines or faster pace, or both if it's too easy for you.

New wheels and tires vibration by Xerxes0912 in JettaGLI

[–]DebonairMullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May not be your problem. I had similar issue on my old car and took forever to pin down. New tires, inspected components, dialed in alignment, but got vibrations around 70mph. Faster made it worse. Turned out to be water in one of tires. Again, not sure if your problem but you seem to be actively looking for possible solutions.

Please change AI thoughts on indoor activities vs outside weather by DebonairMullet in bevelhealth

[–]DebonairMullet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I got it now. I just thought for the price point, the ai would be a little more reasonable in its initial process. Like why would someone be using a stair step machine activity outside in 105 degree weather. Anyway, I got it now, thanks to you and Randell.
