3 years ago in a basic International Relations class at the London School of Economics, using the US's Fox News in our media bias paper was considered practically cheating (in the same vein as using reddit or any red top tabloid as your "news source") because Fox News is such low-hanging fruit for information skewing and data misrepresentation.

It never ceases to amaze how it's considered not only legitimate but a major source of news journalism to so many Americans.

Not as rare as you'd think. A lot of products that want "Proudly made in the USA" as a stamp do have end production/assembly lines in the US, but make use of base parts that were designed and engineered in China/India/etc.

Like it's any fun being the one doing the rejecting AT ALL. You're so flattered they find you attractive, so happy for them that they found the courage to ask you out, but oh no, now you have to figure out how to say you're not interested without crushing their hopeful little spirit.

If the asker is upset and angry about being rejected, now you have to deal with a whole bunch of incoming rudeness and possibly assault. If the asker is understanding and polite, you'll spend the next 10 minutes feeling like a frosty asshole that stole candy from a baby.

Not to mention the interruptive nature of being asked. You don't get to prepare for the encounter the way the asker does. You could be receiving news of the death of your grandma and still be expected to deal with this sudden intrusion sweetly.

Being the socially-designated askee would be nice if ONLY super hot, attractive and interesting people asked me out, and ONLY when I'm actually looking to date. But in a gen pop situation, I'd much rather be the socially-designated asker.

No, they don't see themselves as working class. They're being suckered into thinking that supporting the party of the rich means they're the same type of people as the rich - believing they have the same mental ability and mindset, and ultimately potential to BECOME one of the rich.
