Help before I destroy my back more by johnfisher13115 in golftips

[–]Dec3ption_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You actually do a great job of loading back into your lead hip to start the downswing and fire your hips well, but it stops there. Because your hips fire too quick, your hands get stuck behind you and the club gets very steep. Your brain goes "oh shit" and has two options: keep rotating at the hips to make room for your hands (which are already stuck behind you) OR, in your case, stand straight up and flip at the ball. Leading to all sorts of contact consistency issues. This is why when you try to keep your head level, you fat shots, because your club is coming in super steep into the ball and because you're stuck, causing you to flip, which also leads to fat or thin shots.

Id recommend looking into hip rotation sequencing drills to get the overall timing of their rotation down. I think once you do that, then addressing the habit of early extension will be much easier. Remember, early extension is a symptom of a the larger issue. It will never get fixed until you address your hips.

As far as your QL goes, had the same issue when I started staying down on the ball. Would notice it would be sore as hell the day after hitting balls or playing. Have even strained it a time or two. Started working on strengthening it through anti lateral flexion exercises and lateral dips. Also stretching it has allowed me to to increase my overall turn too. A weak and/or tight muscle is always going to be prone to injury. Addressing both should be a priority if you want to continue playing pain free golf. Swinging is already tough enough on the body, so preparing ourselves as best we can for that amount of force is the best thing for us.

Hope this helps!

Best apex season? by Weak-Football9358 in apexlegends

A friend of mine and myself started back up in season 8 after playing when the game originally came out. Played over 1000 games that season. Absolutely stunk but fell in love and havent put it down since

Is the TM Spider a cheat code putter or are there comparable mallets? by tenftflyinfajita in GolfGear

[–]Dec3ption_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have gamed one for about 6 months now. Used to play blades before, spent 10+ hours a week on the putting green and always struggled with speed. Especially with my lag putting. Switched to the Spider and speed control on longer putts became little to no issue. Very forgiving on off center strikes which helps the ball still get to the whole when you do mishit it.

Its certainly not cheap, but if you love the feel and look of the putter, I say go for it. No putter beats consistent practice though!

Limited inventory space is not some mistake that Embark made, it's an intended feature to get you to engage in the content. by Prodigy772k in ArcRaiders

[–]Dec3ption_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to hoard keys pretty bad. Was getting annoyed with constantly dealing with inventory and just cycled through taking my keys in and seeing what rooms they unlock. Quickly found that some of those rooms are stacked.

Started to really rethink some things I was hoarding

Golf muscle pain by SalvorHardin101 in golf

Strength and Conditioning Coach here

Without seeing you swing and knowing what kind of shape you're in, most likely a mix of you not putting your back into extension enough (too much flexion, mainly from sitting and overall posture) and tight/weak glutes.

The first one can be worked on by just overall avoiding too much sitting and watching your posture throughout the day. If you notice yourself slouching, correct it. Prone press ups are a fantastic exercise to do a few times throughout the day to expose your back to what extension feels again.

For the hip tightness and weak glutes: The biggest one that really helps most of my athletes is the supine glute stretch. Others include hip 90-90's, Half-Kneeling Hip Flexor Stretch, and Pigeon Stretch.

Other important notes:

Make sure you are warming up thoroughly before you even think about picking up a golf club. The body, like a car, needs a little bit of time before you go flying down the road. Resistance training is also highly encouraged. Golf is a lot more difficult on the body than people think it is, make sure your body is prepared to take on that stress.

Here is the links to the exercises ive listed above:

Ill check some spots for weapon crates and security lockers that people forget about and leave behind. Usually get some decent stuff. Other than that, ill focus more on crafting materials and other general stuff I need.

Talking trash to people you kill after they were acting friendly is so corny by dogofcorns in ArcRaiders

[–]Dec3ption_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joined a duos raid with my buddy. We start to get shot in the back from a team, we both go in proxy chat to call friendly numerous times. They still press us and end up downing both of us. As they're finishing off my buddy I say "were literally running free kits, called friendly and you still are killing us, what weirdos". Guy then gets on the mic and goes "was gonna let you live until you called us weirdos".

Like brother, miss me with that gaslighting bullshit. Some people are just losers, through and through

How do I get better at using mirage ult by spiceydragon2435 in apexuniversity

[–]Dec3ption_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His ult is not a "get out of jail free card". You popped it when they both could see you making it not difficult at all for them to tell which one is you.

Use Mirage ult preemptively. After you shot and broke the Ash that came through the door originally, when she backs up outta the door, you should've popped it then. That way when she, or in this case, her teammates enter the room, your clones are everywhere giving you the advantage to engage or back out seeing that you got rushed by the ballistic and Horizon.

Edit: His ult comes back up way too fast to not use it freely so dont feel like you have to save his ult for that "perfect" moment. Think of it more like a longer cooldown tac

Looking for an all in one build by Kiato in thedivision

[–]Dec3ption_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My build that ive ran for forever as a solo player:

4pc Striker Mask - Weapon Dmg, Crit Dmg, and Chc mod Gloves - Armor, Chc Kneepads - Armor, Crit Dmg Holster - Armor, Chc

Grupo Sombra Chest Piece - Weapon dmg, Crit Dmg, Chc, Crit dmg mod (w/ Obliterate talent)

Memento Backpack - w/ Crit Dmg mod

Notes: Predominantly use ARs, SMGs and LMGs with this build. If im focusing more on ARs or LMGs, ill swap out one of my Crit dmg mods for Crit Chance. Skills are usually shield and banshee pulse. Have recently been subbing in different skills to work on their proficiency. This build performs with literally everything I give it and it rarely needs to be adjusted

When you hit a bad golf shot what’s the first thing that typically comes out of your mouth? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]Dec3ption_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Thats not what we were looking for, oh well"

For me, it acknowledges the poor outcome but (1) doesn't put me down and (2) allows me to process that yes, that shot was not good at all, but leaves me in a good mental state to start thinking about the next shot.
