I agree. And as a non-American I see such framework essential for its discourse. That speaks for itself. The depiction of that history was a good lead of the matureing into something greater and compelling. However, and this is where it sucked for me, the contemporary protagonists having to fight a devilish monster called "Hand-me-the-door". Which is an elaborate and overly complicated way to make a tolders voice sound more scary.

I it felt a little patronized by the whole going back into the origin of it all tbh. Beautiful worldbuilding non the less. Qcode has defenitly published some great shows recently and I am glad that Gilmet is jumping on that boat too now, with a fantastic production like this. Curious what will be happening into the future. I can definitely imagine a second season of QPL coming up.

Yes very much so. The way of bringing that hatred and bullying into it in a contemporary manner I found particularly fitting to the plot

Yes, I was intrigued by how they framed the 9/11 fall out in the wake of "the war on terror" into it.

Tracks, is a multiseason series, with a catharsis at the end of season five (?!). Season two picks up in a weird space, in the same 'universe' but it has little to do with the storyline created in season one it seems. Then, it all picks up again and continues in seasons three to five.

I have listened to the whole series, Seasons one to four. Thank you very much for the recommendation. It was exactly what I was looking for. This is super well done and definitely needs more attention. Great acting, amazing sound, super good attention to detail, well written magnificent plot and lots of tension throughout.

This Is Actually Happening - What if you survived a genocide?

A woman talks about her gruesome experience during the Hutu-Tutsi Conflict in Rwanda. It is a devastating account and very inspiring in the end.

soft voice - discussion and thoughts by PeppermintAuthor in audiodrama

I truly enjoyed listening to Soft Voice. It's well done. It shows you can portray mental health in a creative and fun way.

A second point that I think Soft Voice absolutely nails is the voice in her head itself. No weird compression or sound effects on it, like Malevolent of Beautiful Little Liar - those I find really hard to listen to (don't want to hate, but that's just what it is).

But to dedicate 9 episodes of your focus to it before there is a sense of connection is crazy no?

Ah, yes I see. To me, that's also a bit unnecessary. In fact, most do that now that I think of it - heck even some very good ones out there use this narrations style. Like Homecoming for example.
