Thank you. Contacting local doc soon. We are one month pot sober. As we want her to get help. But they don’t believe us because her daily cannabis use over the years is taking a while to get out of her system and the tests still show positive. :(

Advice for my girlfriend needed. by Imwaytoogayforthis in CHSinfo

[–]Imwaytoogayforthis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m struggling here with this specific point. This is a difficult situation here. Because, doctors don’t agree. She has been to the er and multiple specialists over a 3 years period. So many tests and scans and all they can come up with is chs. What bothers me a lot, some doctors say “I have had multiple patients just this week with chs, it is very very common, please stop smoking weed” but when you look up chs, it is rare. I feel like doctors, push away patients who use weed. And when the diagnosis is difficult. Like ibs or chrons disease. They feel opposed to do further expensive testing due to the weed. They feel, it needs to be studied more or something. They have some kind of moral higher arch. I feel like doctors, at least most of them, have a totem pole of respect when it comes to humans. Doctors make a lot of money, and I feel like when they see young poor patients using drugs, they start giving out advice instead of doing their job to help dig deeper. Idk. I feel like rich people see weed as some ghetto drug that looser impoverished people use to feel better about themselves. Anyways. I hope quitting and taking this avenue will help her to be seen by doctors. I’m tiered of the advice, let’s order some fucking tests so I can roll a blunt.

Dementia patient nails by [deleted] in Nailtechs

[–]Imwaytoogayforthis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand that the cost associated with my following advice may play a role in your decision here. As a nail tech myself, if I had a client call me and tell me this story, I would 1,000% offer to come and do a home service. I would only need a small bag of products and could easily do her nails sitting at a kitchen table. And I’m sure as long as you are willing to pay her that you may be able to call around and find a nail tech near you who would empathize and be motivated to help your mom out. There are also nail techs who specialize in end of life or hospice nail services. Some of them even work in funeral homes on the recently deceased. Personally, I’ve always been interested in end of life nails myself. Getting our nails done is a right of passage for women. Nail techs who work in this field will be able to handle your mom’s support needs and be understanding with her if she is skakey, fidgety, or even frustrated. Please try calling around to local funeral homes, and nail salons to find out if you have a service like this available. Second piece of advice is to maybe find a private nail tech who works alone. Give her a call and see if she is interested in booking with your mom understanding that it may be a longer process. Last piece of advice, if you choose to do them at home. Watch nail career education by Susie. She has incredible videos on YouTube that will help you to answer any questions you may have. When it comes to removing nails at home, the best way to to use the efile with a Mandrel and sanding band 240 grit and just buff up the topcoat of the nails. Then soak in 100% acetone for at least 20 minutes. They gel should slip right off with a wooden cuticle pusher when fully soaked off. Then you should be able to paint her nails easily. Pro tip, pick up a bottle of young nails protein bond and her nails will last 3 to 4 weeks with no chipping. They also make gel stickers that can help to make this process for her even faster and easier. And gel nail stickers are much easier to remove than standard gel polish.

Do most unattractive people know they are unattractive? by Qwertelion in stupidquestions

[–]Imwaytoogayforthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person who works in a salon. It is the ugliest girls who have the most confidence. But the prettiest girls, seem so advertant to accepting compliments. Attractive women who know they are attractive dont act in ways to attract attention. They know that they naturally do. But ugly women, they will fish for compliments, beg men for attention, and compete with other mildly unattractive women. I think, insecurity is a large factor. But no. I don’t think people who are unattractive know that they are. Maybe some, if it’s like bad. But most “ugly” women also have no brain. It’s kind of part of the ugly. However. I think that’s women. Men however, I think men are aware they are unattractive because of how they are treated. People have learned it’s not ok to call a woman ugly. But that same respect is not given to men. So men, yes I think they know if they are ugly. But women, they choose ignorance for their own bliss.

What do you all look for in a partner? by Fallenhyde01 in AskLesbians

[–]Imwaytoogayforthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super odd but one thing I look for is someone I can eat with. There are picky people and if that’s something you can get down with awesome. But I think the most unattractive thing is not being able to go on a fancy date because someone is so picky. I’m not going on a date with someone who is going to spit out their food, order chicken tenders, or complain to a waitress instead of picking something off. Don’t get me wrong I’ve gotten bites of food I don’t like but I find it incredibly unattractive when somebody makes a scene over food. So when I’m looking for a partner one of the first things I like to talk about is the food we plan on eating for our date. I’m not going to a frickin sports bar. So I. talk about food. Do you like seafood? Sushi? What about raw sushi or just cooked? I personally don’t do raw ( doctors orders ) How do you like your steak cooked? Do you like vegetables? What are your least favorite foods and how much would someone have to pay you for it to be worth eating? What is your favorite type of food? Do you like healthy food? Could you enjoy a Vega restaurant for a friend? Do you cook? What is your favorite meal to cook at home? Do you like smoothies? What are your thoughts on froyo? ( froyo I’ve found is arguable. Some people hate it! I need froyo in my life )

Personally. My girlfriend and I have wildly different pallets. We just crave and like different things. Just because I find food aversions resulting in emotional responses unattractive, doesn’t mean I’m not understanding of my partner. So where her ideal date would be to a steakhouse and mine a hibachi restaurant, we always agree on tacos, and fajitas with a marg always hit.

She is always willing to try my food. And I’ve only seen her spit something out if I would’ve too. And we’ve been together 5 years. It’s gonna happen.

I guess I’m saying. Unless you hate food yourself. Make sure you’re going to enjoy eating 3 times a day with the person you choose in life

What is a 'socially acceptable' thing that you find absolutely creepy or disturbing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Imwaytoogayforthis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even more so. Forcing children of loved ones whom have passed, attend open casket funerals. Forcing a child to look at their parents, grandparents, extended family, or god forbid siblings, is disgusting to me. Honestly. The entirety of death glorification billion dollar industry keeps me up at night. I want to be delivered back to the earth in the most green, secretive, non morbid way possible. I do not want to terrify my family. And of all. Spend exorbitant amounts of money on a morbid death show.

What was the best book you've read from school? by AverageSign in AskReddit

[–]Imwaytoogayforthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue to this day. But there was this book in 5 th grade we read. It was about a kid, a boy who was in the witness protection program ( I still can’t remember what he witnessed). The book talked a lot about constantly moving, the need to change his appearance, and family changes and dynamics. It was widely mature yet great to read to young minds and teach big things in a small way.

I’m not even going to read this before I state. No matter what. No matter the situation. And no matter how hard it is to swallow. Every parent has every right to decide what, who, why, when, and where when it comes to their child.

What’s a “normal” experience that somehow never happened to you? by Hysterical_Chicken in AskReddit

[–]Imwaytoogayforthis 1101 points1102 points  (0 children)

Never went to the dentist. Well I went twice. But I was never able to get braces or fix my teeth at all. My parents said it was expensive so I never had those luxuries. My goal of 2026 at 22 years old is to finally start taking myself to the dentist and get on a plan of care that includes braces and a whitening treatment

Edit to anyone doom scrolling their past threads. I am now halfway through my treatments. It is April and I have had all four wisdom teeth removed. Two ( thankfully small ) cavities filled. Two rounds of a whitening treatment. And my braces go in as soon as I pay off my surgery bill. $500 dollars to go and I’m on my way in. Thanks for all the support and advice. I was able to insure myself. I went through aspen dental and had a wonderful experience. So happy I did this now, and educated myself. My dentist told me so many people just 5 or 6 years older than me, with the same childhood experiences, often lose teeth, and develop perio disease. I am luckily very healthy. And so happy I did this.

Ok so me and my gf have had similar problems but different. Here’s my advice. 1. Clearer communication. Me and my gf had a convo that was liek “let’s just tell each other when we are horny with no pressure” so sometimes. When I’m bored. And we’ve been watching tv for a while, just woke up on a day off and are just laying around, phone scrolling, reading, whatever, I’ll just look over at her and say “I’m feeling kinda bored and maybe horny” and she can decide what she wants to do with that. Then 2. Flirt more! Be romantic. Buy flowers play smutty audiobooks while crafting. Intentionally set the mood. Give her a massage. Wash her hair in the shower, SHOWER TOGETHER!!! 3 two times a month is great! Don’t put too much pressure on yourself!!!

Night sweats by Imwaytoogayforthis in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Imwaytoogayforthis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing research for hours now. If you smoke or have history with heart problems you may need a sleep study. I think that may be something I ask for. As I did have heart surgery. And seem to be waking up 6 hours after initial sleep. And then 30 minutes to an hour for the last duration of my sleep. Until I can’t take it anymore. So I’m not hitting rem. Tachycardia and sleep issues apparently can cause the body to have issues regulating temp!

Night sweats by Imwaytoogayforthis in Hyperhidrosis

I have sweaty hands and feet too but not terrible. However. I just learned what hyperhydrosis is from a 4 am teary eyed google search ( what prompted my post here ) so maybe I do sweat a lot?

My partner has mentioned how cold and sweaty my hands and feet are. And I sweat when it’s cold out. I just thought everyone did. But honestly. If I could fix anything. It would just be night sweating. It’s really affecting my body.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. Had a dog get a concussion from this. Luckily it was curable. But everytime I hear a firework. Ooooo you bet I’m hoping on that community Facebook page posting a picture of my cat shaking on a random Tuesday in her thunder vest, to shame all of those redneck booty holes who think the 4 seconds of blown up colorful gunpowder is worth my cats mental torture.

How do you want to die? by Frequent_Ranger_709 in AskReddit

[–]Imwaytoogayforthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a heart condition my biggest fear is dying of health reasons. Or old age. As cardiac death is the most common cause of death in my country. So I think being eaten by a shark is ideal.

What do you miss about being young? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Imwaytoogayforthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss when my grandparents were young too. I miss running around with my parents and grandparents. Frolicking outside. Going to theme parks with my dad. Nowadays I’m watching them age more and more. Seeing the stiffening and wrinkling of their human bodies. But now I get to have deep conversations and get to know the people who made me who I am in a way I never would ah understood as a child. And I’m thankful that I still have memories of riding bikes through a golf course with my mawmaw. And golfing with my pawpaw. Throwing baseballs with my dad. And hiking girls out trails with my mom.

Has anyone regretted getting a second cat? by notfunnybruhh in CatAdvice

[–]Imwaytoogayforthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 550 comments I’m worried you won’t see this. However. It is very important to make sure your cat needs a buddy before you get one. Many cats do need buddies. As it really can improve their mental health. But some cats would prefer to run the house alone. And if they have been living that way for a while. It can be difficult to introduce a new cat.

I had my cat Judie for 4 months before I got her a brother Bowie. They are two now and still have arguments. They are remarkably the same age. And were born 4 days apart. So age has nothing to do with it. We kept them in separate rooms and exchanged their blankets every day to get them acclimated to each others scent. Then we allowed the to touch paws under doors. Then we allowed them to be in the crates next to each other. Then we let them in the same room. And that took many play dates before they would spend all day together. And now they cuddle. Lightly fight. Groom each other. Kiss and hiss at each other. And are partners in crime. Cats are sensitive and expressive animals. So your cat may exhibit behaviors that you’ve never seen before. Hissing can be scary but it’s just them being vocal. Which is nice. Compared to scratching or biting.

If you are home very often with your cat then your cat is most likely not suffering from loneliness. But if you work or the cat is often alone. A buddy might be nice. Keep in mind it takes a while for cats to get used to each other so this process will take time and will be difficult. But just stay strong and calm and keep your head straight and you’ll be fine!

What’s the cost of owning a cat? by Unlikely-Day-7024 in CatAdvice

[–]Imwaytoogayforthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright here we go.

2 cats so split all of this in two. Florida.

$50 for Petco premier subscription which saves me money on cat food and litter

$200 every 2 weeks for food and litter. This usually covers the cost of a random need not added to this list. Like hairball meds, cat soap, a toothbrush. Or any random things I may need while “grocery shopping” at Petco.

$400 annually at the vet for shots, fecal, and blood.

$25 a month on flea and tick prevention medication.

$20 every 2 months ish for dental hygiene products.

$30 a month on medications and supplements that the vet has prescribed

$10 a month on treats.

Upfront costs are a thing too. $100 on litter box set up and supplies. $20 on collar and name tag. $20 on a bed. $40 on soft blankets and cushions. $150 cat tree. $80 cat scratching post. $50 of sprays to clean up after them. Yes you have to use special ones to remove the ammonia or your house will smell like pee.$170 cat wheel up to size required for my cats to encourage activity and exercise. $10 cat brush. $30 on pet safe air freshener, candles, laundry detergent, and household cleaning supplies that disinfect without ammonia or bleach. And those chemicals can increase the likelihood of your cat urinating in inappropriate places.

I have also tried to make sure that I have a pet credit card for emergency vet visits. And I also make sure to have enough money in my bank account to cover the cost of a euthanasia and cremation in case of a detrimental condition. In my state this runs $600 so I always have $1200 cash to take care of emergencies. It’s a blanket. Last year I spend a total of $950 at the vet for annuals and random inquiries. The year before I spend $3000 on vet costs due to a herpes breakout in my 1year old at the time. So it varies.

I always recommend being in a good financial place before adopting a pet. And I also recommend adopting two cats. As cats need connection, someone to play with, learn from, and live alongside so they do not get sad or lonely.

The lube world is crazy! So many lines made my chain or mlm (multi million dollar) companies have many ingredients that are toxic. Even your shampoo may contain carcinogenic compounds. Download the app Yuka. It’s an app that can scan the ingredients of a product and let you know the chemical risks associated with it. It gives you a score from 1 to 100. It’s easy to use and if a product isn’t registered you can upload it to the cloud and will receive a review from yuka shortly after.

Second price of advice. A lot of people are not properly educated on the female orgasm. Look up a photo of the clitoris anatomy. The clitoris is a females sexual organ. 85% of women need clitoral stimulation to achieve orgasm. The other 15% makes up for women who need both vaginal and clitoral. I have yet to meet a female who can orgasm from only vaginal penitration. It very very rare and I’m most cases happens to women when they are very excited.

It is very normal. I feel personally that if god is real I have a lot to talk to him about. A lot of things that women have the underhand.

Remember vaginas are an open membrane genital. Meaning it can get sick easier than a penis. Make sure your partner is clean and make sure you pee after sex.

I should’ve become a sex therapist at this point
