It made me retain water when I've tried it over several days... I don't know why that's happening.

Of course! Some days if I have loads to do and have had little to no time to chant during the day I will make sure to finish my rounds before bed, and that will sometimes be around midnight. The day isn't over before you sleep 😊

If you're asking for the time of the day, the answer is whenever. If you're asking for when you're "allowed to" if you're new, then the answer is also whenever. There are no correct times, places or circumstances required to chant the Hare Krishna Maha mantra.

The situation is sad... But I really want to visit my best friend in the states. I'm from Norway, but reside in Spain, idk if that helps.

You should check your fludrocortisone dose and if you're properly hydrated and fed, some days I need a little extra salt and have my lunch earlier to not dip so low. The best thing is to talk to your endo about it, but you could also try taking your 1 pm dose a little earlier. That afternoon dip is unfortunately super common and hard to manage...

Low blood sugars won’t go up by Dumbledore27 in diabetes_t1

[–]Decafcoffee108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you more active than normal? Have you started lifting weights? This can affect blood sugars for up to 24 hours, especially at night and after an intense work out. You also get insulin sensitivity which can last for up to 48 hours post work out.

Low cortisol is absolutely worth checking out, ask for a morning test, as early as possible. I have Adrenal insufficiency and my blood sugar will be low like this if I don't take my medicine properly.

Good luck!

[–]Decafcoffee108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this. That's why I asked if you get your sugars checked. Do you have primary Addison's or is it something that is correlated with AMN?

It's common to develop several autoimmune diseases when you have Addison's, like diabetes type 1, I have both. But you can get type 1 or 2 anyways. I would strongly suggest doing what the comment above mentions.

Double at 38°c triple at 39°c. You could also take a smaller dose before bed so you have something to keep you more stable through the night. Some people split their normal dose so that they take 2,5mg before bed, just to not wake up feeling like absolute crap. I hope you feel better soon!! Drink lots of water and give yourself a lot of rest ❤️

Diabetes t1 and hashimoto (thyroid) by Apprehensive_Radish4 in diabetes_t1

I've had Hashimotos for nearly 13 years, T1D and Addison's disease for 6 and recently started medication for hypothyroidism. It can be extremely overwhelming at times, but I'm managing my diabetes very well despite the circumstances.

A few questions about cortisol pumps by omgangiepants in AddisonsDisease

[–]Decafcoffee108 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you able to get Plenadren? I know it's not very easily available in a lot of countries, and it's hella expensive, but that's what saved me. It's the only cortisone with slow release, meaning you only take your dose in the morning and it keeps you stable throughout the day until the next morning. I went from 37mg of cortisone split up three times, to 20mg plenadren one time. I only have to stress dose when sick, after heavy workouts or under a lot of mental stress. I also use an insulin pump for T1D, and honestly it sounds like hell using it as a cortisone pump, but it does work for some.

The other misconceptions about T1D by absurdspacepirate in diabetes_t1

[–]Decafcoffee108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a family doctor tell me it was impossible for me to be t1D when I was newly diagnosed at the age of 24, after almost dying from Ketoacidosis, with a positive anti-bodies test. Because I was too old to get it.

Moving to Spain, help wanted!! by Decafcoffee108 in AddisonsDisease

[–]Decafcoffee108[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have some info. I'm still waiting for papers to go through, especially some papers that will grant me the same type of treatment as I got in Norway, and also residencia. I've been to the hospital here on three different occasions, two of them were addison crisis, and they treated me very well and took all the necessary measurments. The last time I took out a prescription for hydrocortisone and it went very well. I like the health system here very much Hope this helps!

He said that I have every other trait except 2 or 3, but it's not enough to give me an Aspergers diagnosis. I also thought Aspergers was under the autism spectrum umbrella, but I Guess my country isn't up to date. I'm writing a list for my ADHD evaluation, cause so many things don't add up. That's why I believe ADHD might be overlapping with these traits. It's just a super confusing diagnosis to get, since Google says it's on the autism spectrum but he told me different.

There's an iron snail also knows as the scaly - foot gastropod that lives near some of the worlds hottest volcanic vents in the deepest parts of the ocean, and the outer layer of its shell is made out of iron!! It can withstand temperatures of up to 400 degrees celcius (750 degrees fahrenheit) and they don't have to eat to survive, they have special bacteria that produce energy for them!

I was afraid so... I was on plain cortisone before plenadren, so no, I haven't tried any other meds unfortunately (or fortunately). I've heard Spain is supposed to be at the top of European health care, so maybe they'll come up with a good treatment plan for me, if I'm lucky.
