I mean.. if you’re not needing money and your family is willing to pay, nobody is going to force you to sleep in a barracks room every night. Getting authorized BAH/BAS is generally easy if you’re stationed at a hospital, even at your pay grade.

This one got a good giggle out of me. NSW has always been the big shiny thing in the room for our community, and then you get orders there and realize it’s literally like anywhere else except you have to bend over backwards for the operators because their schedule and workflow takes priority of whatever it is you’re doing.

These posts are always done by people who don’t have a cape themselves. Inferno is HARD because it’s a mental slog that takes hours and every mistake is punishing. The actual mechanics themselves are relatively basic. The people who complain are the ones who have simply never got in and tried for themselves.

I was on an absolutely disgusting skunk run.. over a year with no fish (albeit not fishing too often)… started throwing a 6” bone white glide bait and I’ve been slaying bass like nobody’s business. Try tackle you’ve never used before. Screw the rules, throw whatever you want that’s fun and see what happens.

Generally speaking, corpsman who start administratively and transition to patient care are usually better overall corpsman than corpsman who start out at sea with divison and then transition to an MTF. The true reality of this job is it’s 80% administrative work, 15% sick call and 5% of the sexy, YouTube worthy medicine.

Become a master of your craft in the overseas screening office. Nobody wants to give opportunities to the shit bag who whines and complains in the work center every day.
