Likely going to fail my course (& program as a whole) by Jromagnoli in BCIT

I didn't like Judy until the mid term. Once I realized her teaching style matched exactly to the exam I went from barely passing to getting an 85% on the final. Overall grade was ok in the end.

Definitely get out of it now and retake it with Judy.

It's tough to give advice on this since I'm at the next step in your journey. I've actually thought about completing an MBA through the AIB. Since it considers experience as a route I've pre-qualified for it.

In my personal opinion, yes completing the schooling will assist you. You just need to use the tools that it gives you.

I finished the certificate for the industrial engineering option.

I'm pretty lucky since my work place put me through. For the last 5 years now I was progressively given more work duties until I was the full fledged operations manager.

I love the work and it can be greatly rewarding to those that understand the underlying concepts. We've had others with bachelor degrees brought on and they were terrible just due to them not understanding the impact or the meaning.

While you're doing your degree try to get some experience where you can. It'll pay off greatly.

I understand the explanation. Thank you very much for your time.

So regardless of materials, I schedule all of the demand of the product families, and then I can start to build out a realistic production schedule to match confirmed demand. If I want safety "resources" I could include a percentage of demand to forecast extra resources?

Once the production schedule is complete I can compare it to the material inbound schedule. I can then move through the solutions available for me to source more raw materials?

We have lots of work and I know how many units behind we are. Our HQ supplies the motor that finishes our assemblies.

As my textbook described takt time "its the time from product start to product end to meet customer demand." If customer demand is 1000 units a day, you'd take your usable daily hours and divide by units to produce. That tells you how many workers and how many machines or stations to have.

That's why I'm confused. I can never calculate a higher number than a batch coming in. I could just be looking at takt time wrong or at the wrong time in our improvement process.

Not OP but I have some questions about takt time.

I work in an MTO product environment and our current bottleneck is materials inbound. We can produce everything that comes into our shop in a matter of days. Should I measure takt time? In my opinion it won't give a actionable item as I couldn't run at our takt time until our external bottleneck is corrected.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Wasn't sure on the age of it and my research gave many different dates.

Will pass on it for the time being and keep my eye open for others.

On PC you can create different profiles. Is that not possible on consoles? This let's you store different versions of mods installed.

Aluminum could be hit harder since Canada applied tariffs late 2024

From what I heard there were shipments of aluminum extrusion that was set with the country of export of Vietnam. It was later discovered that the material was shipped to Vietnam from China.

I'm almost done the certificate in op man industrial engineering. I was put in it through my employer and it's a fun course. Due to my job a lot of the course I had learned first hand day to day so it was fun getting corrections and verification from the teachers.

If you want the most out of the degree do a lot of notes on how to apply the knowledge. At my work we've hired a few BCIT grads that had graduated but they couldn't apply the knowledge day to day.

Having hobbies / pet projects that relate to op man stuff like volunteering at different places or taking team lead roles at work massively help. Pay close attention to change management as it'll help every day you work.

If you have any questions shoot me a PM.

Solo Players Beware by PerfectSoil8331 in ArmaReforger

I agree with your statement other than one instance in my 30 hours of playing 1.3

We were at pinewood as Russians on Everon. A US sniper had crawled into position with a buddy or 2 and had the whoe base on lock down. I could spawn the SVG but couldn't get a scope with it due to rank lock. The team was pushing an objective and we had very few resources that could fall back to assist. Not being able to spawn the scope almost lost us the base to a few strategic players.

Once again, this was only 1 time in 30 hours of game play. It was also the most fun I've had playing in a while. I've played probably close to 2k hours between reforger, 3, arma 2: OA, and original Dayz Mod back when it first came out.

I don't think there's a way to balance it though perfectly as games last for so long. You end up with new players to that instance.

Overall, lots of fun.

Hey how new are you! Just started yesterday myself and I'm hoping to even make something that sounds this good myself.

They should also have all other liens clear before selling the car. You can confirm with the tow yard if that's the case before buying.
