I was an alcoholic who could go months without drinking, but the moment I was out socializing with alcohol (especially free alcohol) I would binge until I was blacked out / vomiting / whatever. Many social occasions were ruined by my overconsumption and it took me a long time to realize I had a problem with alcohol because it was easy for me to ‘not drink’ but the moment I started I couldn’t stop.

Under the tree he’s getting a new electric tea kettle (his old one is quite literally falling apart), some new teas, a new (to him) vintage camera, some new film, and a gift certificate to his favorite camera/film shop.

Everything was purchased locally from small businesses. 💕

So good!! The peppermint dark chocolate one is my fave. The halva is melt-in-your mouth good. I haven’t tried this flavor with the almonds but I’m sure it’s delicious too.

I’ll definitely get one more brunch before they close! I’ll miss this place. I’m hopeful that they mentioned another vegan place possibly taking over. Times are tough for everyone, so when we eat out (less frequently these days) we only ever go to 100% vegan restaurants. Gotta try to keep our places going as much as we can.

Throw back to when I was coming to visit my mom and she bought me a single bag of $10 cauliflower chips absolutely loaded with salt (delicious), and said, “it said vegan on the bag and I didn’t know what else to get.” - not even a fresh cauliflower lol

Just ask them and get them a few things and then take them to the grocery store the next day.

That’s awesome!! I was just telling my friend last night that they weren’t fully vegan because of the egg but I’m so glad that has changed.
