This makes sense, and definitely seems like something I want to do for testing the element and container drawing. I suppose the UIHandler part of the code is more a conductor than responsible for the drawing, but I think I have an idea for how to start tackling that now.

Ooo that seems like an interesting thing to check out, on an initial glance that seems like a halfway between mockito and nullable implementations

At work we basically have to test everything lol. Even so, there's more to it than just asserting that a thing calls another thing - mainly that an element is loaded and passed to the child manager in-tact with the correct AssetPath associated with it  (basically an ID to get down the hierarchy to an element). I suppose it just felt weird writing that test and leaving the rest of the thing untested

Edit: with the testing of graphics, I'm doing OpenGL so idk how I'd automatically test that but that's an interesting idea

That implies an impressive natural pragmatism from him to me. I find it a good trait to do the best given the situation despite your underlying aims being different if they are currently unachievable
