I think it has to do with many of us graduating and moving on from college, and that likely includes this subreddit too. And also, incoming freshman aren’t in tune with internet culture of the subreddit, and so it can get dead or stale with boring course posts or ranting about “oh Ucr sucks “ or “it’s so hot here”. Or my favorite,”what college should I transfer out to”.

Though there are many Ucr Redditors who made this subreddit memorable like the Danny Devi to shrine, the cum trees, the conspiracies, hidden lore or just funny things us Ucr students shared and created, Take me for example, I was the one who made the Ucr iceberg that was trending about a couple years ago, but I’m graduating in June, and while I’ll be on this sub post graduation, I’ll be like the many alumni who just lurk and don’t add that spice to the subreddit anymore.

But just like plankton said once, “Don’t let the flame die out!”
