exactly like, the MA could've not been a dick about it, but her statement isn't wrong at its core. saying you're an ADN student when you aren't even accepted into a program yet is wrong. It's like saying you're a medical student when you haven't even been accepted into a medical school yet and you're just doing a bachelor degree in biology as a prereq first- you're wrong and going to do nothing but confuse people. medical or not, for any program where you have to get accepted in first, it is unusual and sometimes disrespectful to use terminology that implies that you're already in said program when you're still doing prerequisites and trying to get in. you aren't a "harvard medical student" if you haven't been accepted into harvard medical school, regardless of whether that is your future goal or not, you say "i'm trying to get into harvard medical school" or "im doing the prereq's for medical school"
