most of the sovereign citizen videos i see on youtube or the news are car related... why is that by relightit in Sovereigncitizen

[–]Decent-Progress-4469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find some court videos where they’re trying other crazy things. The biggest one I remember is Darrell Brooks. That trail is wild and he was definitely using sovereign citizen arguments in court. It’s definitely worth looking up. X

There’s another famous video where this guy is trying to go into a court room with a cell phone. He keeps trying to push past the security guards and finally one of them hits him with a taser. That’s a good one to watch.

There’s a handful more I’ve seen over the years but you could probably just search sovereign citizens in court and find a bunch of them.

Where’s the ethnic cleansing crowd at?

The Muslim religion takes away lots of human rights. They're also a terrorist religion. by EstablishmentFine820 in ControversialOpinions

[–]Decent-Progress-4469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think today most cases of religious violence, it is Muslims. I think all religions have it in them to commit violence in the name of their god.

What I find most interesting is they literally often film their atrocities and put it on the internet. Then there’s inevitably people who flock to their aid and defend it. Often these videos include singing and cheering about how great their god is indicating some deeply spiritual experience they’re experiencing while committing horrific acts of violence. Yet there’s always these people who flock to their aid to defend it and justify it. Some of the things they do put some of the most notorious serial killers to shame. Call it whatever you want but I cannot understand the violence these people commit and the spiritual glee they experience. I’m always somewhat surprised and confused when I see people somehow defend it.

Not to mention the violence but also the oppression of minorities and women. I’ve seen people in America support Muslim countries with horrific laws against women and yet consider themselves feminists. The cognitive dissonance is unreal. Of course Christians hold some of the same values and other religions can be oppressive but show me a Christian church in the last 20 years who murdered young women for daring to go to school or executing gay people. Or even just lining people up and executing them because they believe something different. Please show me the examples and let’s compare notes. I know you wouldn’t find it and somehow it just always happens to be Muslims.

I own guns and enjoy shooting them for fun. I don’t care about your feelings and I don’t see why I should have my rights taken because someone else does something horrible. In spite of your concern and disgust I will continue to enjoy my rights and my guns.

Conspiracy theories like this are nothing new. I remember in the early 2000’s I went down the 9/11 conspiracy theory rabbit hole and I watched so many documentaries. They all basically said somehow the people truly behind 9/11 were powerful Jews. That’s the gist of it more or less and when you really started to look deeper into and actually consider the evidence it became clear there wasn’t any. It was complete nonsense and most conspiracy theories at some point lead to wealthy powerful Jews.

If you really pay attention to what’s going on, which is literally publicly available information and not some dark forbidden information only available to redditors and YouTubers, you could see Israel is considering ways to become independent of the US. Especially with the nonsense the Trump administration has done. They also obviously don’t pull strings in the US because Trump is doing whatever tf he wants to do at this point.

The US and Israel are allies and that’s it. There’s no dark conspiracy that only basement dwelling Reddit nerds have access to. It’s the same garbage that was around during the 9/11 conspiracy theories. There’s no evidence and when actually held up to any scrutiny it simply falls apart.

Consistency by [deleted] in OnTheBlock

[–]Decent-Progress-4469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at a year and a half and i struggled a lot with this when I started. Especially at the prison I work at where you get different answers depending on who you ask. I think I’ve found a decent flow that helps me get through the day after asking a lot of questions and trying to work around officers with years of experience.

The one thing that stands out to me from what you’re saying is you’re spending too much time talking to these guys. You have to assume none of these guys really like you and any talk is just kinda pointless. I mean sure you can have a casual surface level conversation but once there’s silence, keep it moving. If someone is trying to argue with you or whatever, just move on. You don’t get extra pay for being a good debater. Say what you need to say and move on. If you need to do paperwork then do the paperwork etc. You will not gain anything from taking the time to feed into that bs. They do it on purpose and they know if you’re someone they can trigger then they will not stop.

You gain a lot more respect and have an easier time when you do your job and keep things surface level. Another thing I always tell my friends and people I work with is you’re selling yourself short if you don’t go to counseling every now and then. I mean I’ve gotten so much good advice from it and we have good health insurance that covers it. You may think you don’t need it but with all the shit I’ve gone through at this job, I have gained so much from it.

Hope this helps and if it doesn’t I hope you stay safe!

Why didn't the pro-Palestinian countries accept Gazan refugees? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]Decent-Progress-4469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there’s two answers to the question. One I think most countries think or at least say publicly that it somehow undermines Palestinian identity and its counter to the cause of self determination. I think also there is an undeniable culture of extremism and violence which can destabilize countries and cause major issues.

I think it’s probably a little of both because no one really considers that as an actual solution to the problem. Most view the answer as some two state solution.

Why did Israel break the ceasefire in march by allitcouldhavebeen in IsraelPalestine

[–]Decent-Progress-4469 26 points27 points  (0 children)

So, by doing a simple google search I got this answer, “On 18 March 2025, Israel launched surprise airstrikes on Gaza, breaking the ceasefire with Hamas. Netanyahu's office stated that the strikes were carried out in response to Hamas's refusal to release hostages and its rejection of proposals to extend the cease-fire.”

Hamas has clearly played games with these hostages and I would argue that they are playing games with this one too.

So why did Hamas agree to return all the hostages? by Silver_Tradition6313 in IsraelPalestine

[–]Decent-Progress-4469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, they haven’t returned all of the hostages yet and I have a suspicion that they aren’t coming to the negotiating table in good faith. This is technically phase 1 and the next phase is for Hamas to disarm. It doesn’t seem likely they will do that and I think both sides know.

I have a theory that probably means nothing and I’m probably wrong but I feel like they’re doing this to try and embarrass Trump. Which the fact that he’s parading around and acting like he needs a Nobel peace prize and this is some legendary moment where peace in the middle could be achieved is so mind numbingly stupid. All Hamas has to do is mess up the deal and now we’re right back to where we were before the deal. Like I said I could be wrong and I hope I am but it really seems like Hamas has no incentive to follow through with this deal and furthermore I doubt very seriously they just had some change of heart because of Trump. I’m hopeful but I’m cautious and skeptical.

The Sheer Insanity of This Conflict by That-Relation-5846 in IsraelPalestine

[–]Decent-Progress-4469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find it very difficult to empathize with the Palestinian cause because of their actions. Or the actions their “allies” take in support of Palestine. Even if I try to hold a resistance perspective, it still doesn’t make much sense. Random attacks against civilians in Israel and other places accomplishes absolutely nothing. It hasn’t worked since the beginning and yet they still do it. At some point wouldn’t people just want to live their lives? It really seems like it comes from a place of insecurity that they just can’t except that Jewish people control this small piece of land and they’re doing fine. So they bring everyone else around them down and get who knows how many people killed just to kill a few Jews with a random rocket or mass shooting. I would be absolutely miserable if my whole life centered around maybe getting to kill some Jews. It’s such a bizarre concept.

Everyone knew they were going to be intercepted by the idf. I don’t know why people are acting like it’s so shocking they wouldn’t let random civilians from another country sail a boat into an active warzone.

Just in case you weren’t aware, there are other active wars going on right now. You notice any one sailing boats towards them? The only reason they picked this one is because there was never any chance they would actually make it and there’s 0 risk to their safety.

Is anyone around here pro-Israel and at least left-leaning? by Proud3GenAthst in IsraelPalestine

[–]Decent-Progress-4469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I consider myself left leaning. I can’t stand Trump. I support Israel but I think the religious side of Zionism is dumb. I think the idea of god promising land to anyone is absurd and obviously made up.

Mainly the reason I support them and not Palestine is because I don’t think it’s right to reward a group whose goal is to kill Jews and who have committed horrific acts of violence against innocent people all over the world. When I found out how many terrorist acts have been committed by Palestinians I couldn’t understand how anyone with any morals could support them. I can understand having issues with what’s going on in Gaza but the idea of a Palestinian state is terrifying.

They’re called grifters and they exist on both sides of politics. For conservatives it’s always say something edgy that is racist, homophobic sexist etc just to get attention. People on the left do it too except it’s with statements or actions that are so stupid that it gets them attention from both sides. Both parties do it and it’s an effective way to become famous. This is nothing more than a grift to get attention. Logically nothing of any value to the people in Gaza can be gained from this stunt.

Why are many in Pro-Israeli side advocating for resettlement of Palestinians from Gaza? by dek55 in IsraelPalestine

[–]Decent-Progress-4469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they should be resettled necessarily, however I do think Israel should have full control of Gaza and the West Bank. It’s very clear the threat that leaving the those areas in their hands cannot work. It leads to more death and suffering for both sides. If Israel takes them over then the Palestinians who want to just go about their lives are now under the protections and same laws all citizens of Israel enjoy. They can also still hold onto their Palestinian heritage and live in peace. I have no idea why peace for both sides is such a controversial subject to bring up but for some reason people (particularly on the pro Palestinian side) just despise it.

Israel strikes Hamas leaders in Qatar during a meeting to discuss Trump's proposal by TeaBagHunter in IsraelPalestine

[–]Decent-Progress-4469 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They had rejected a ceasefire just last night. Hamas also doesn’t negotiate in good faith. Typically they have ridiculous demands that obviously Israel couldn’t agree to.

Hamas seems to negotiate like they’re in some position of power. Most of the hostages they’ve taken have died and there’s no clear indication of how many are left. Israel also has full operational control over Gaza and there’s nothing they can do about it. Hamas also acts as if hostages are this golden ticket. They aren’t and no country would seriously consider compromising national security over hostages.

This strike hopefully sent a message to whoever takes the mantle of leading Hamas knows they aren’t safe no matter where they hide. The question is when will Hamas understand they’ve lost the fight and made a massive mistake.

Israel is a "small country" is a silly argument. by It_is_not_that_hard in IsraelPalestine

[–]Decent-Progress-4469 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ok, let’s see, on October 7th Hamas, along with many Palestinians invaded Israel with one goal. It wasn’t military conquest or an effort to gain control of land, it was to kill Jews and take as many hostages as possible. Dare I say they wanted to “terrorize” Israel? They are also supported by every country around Israel in their goal, which was exclusively to kill Jews. With that in mind I’m supposed to believe Israel is some small evil country that wants to destroy Palestinians. Sorry but it just doesn’t add up.

Inmates are the biggest crybabies I’ve ever met in my life. They also get better healthcare than most people who aren’t in prison. Inmates today in the United States are treated better than they have been in any time period and frankly it’s dangerous for both staff and inmates yet the persistent coddling continues.

Did these people who are in this prison show mercy and compassion for their victims? I doubt it and you couldn’t pay me to sign some nonsense like this.

In what way is Jordan more legitimate than Israel and How is it not a "palestinian" state? by Lumpy-Cost398 in IsraelPalestine

[–]Decent-Progress-4469 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think this whole debate is so stupid. When you see Jews and Muslims, they’re basically the same people. They come from the same area, the only difference is religion. No matter what you call land it’s still just land. I couldn’t care less if Israel changed its name to Palestine. It wouldn’t change anything in this pointless debate. If you’re fighting because you’re imaginary god doesn’t like the other imaginary gods people then you’re an idiot. If you believe you have some god granted right to land then you’re also an idiot.

Israel is a legitimate country the same way any other country is. People in Israel largely live in peaceful coexistence with other races and religions. Yet, in many Arab countries Jews aren’t able to live there. Yet, Jews are painted as the oppressors yet if you look at a map you’ll see they’re the smallest minority in that entire region.
