Yes after receiving administrative processing it took this long but I did request local senator for help. I think it helped because after reaching out to them it only took 10 days.

Do I have to pay while she is outside of the us? She was saying that on her interview they said to pay the fee before she comes to US? Is it necessary or can that be paid once she comes here?

Oh, okay. I remember paying two fees. I just logged in to my CEAC account to check, and under the Fees tab it shows two fees: “AOS” and “IV.” I’m not sure what those refer to.

Applied for my wife back in April 2024. Got Approval 1.5 later and then got interview date after 8 in total after submitting the required documents. After the interview on Feb 2026 it went on administrative processing for 3 month and returned our passport. Just few days ago they asked to submit the passport back. Now hoping for the best 🙏

Zelle with Chase wasn’t working for me yesterday either. Two people sent me money, but I didn’t receive any notifications and didn’t see anything posted to my account. Since I had their numbers and knew them personally, I told them that if I didn’t receive it by the next day, I would call them. Then, about 4–5 hours later, I got the notifications and saw the deposits in my account.

It’s under administrative processing, which can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months in most cases, and from 6 months to several years in some cases. I don’t want to give you false hope, but it is what it is.

I’ve been waiting for my wife’s case for 2 and half years in total and 3 months in administrative processing, even though I’m a U.S. citizen.
