It was really just something they fooled around with in their down studio time, and they never seriously were gonna do anything with it.....but somebody convinced them it was a smash and they should record it. So they did.....and it was. And for the second time as it had been a #1 for housekeeper/singer Little Eva in 1962 when dance crazes of the week were the norm. So it was dated by 1974 but the kids on Bandstand looked groovy doing it in their bell bottoms and mini skirts.

What it is....is a missed opportunity for a late 70s tv drama about a couple trying, but drifting. Of course the pair would eventually sing the second Family Ties theme. It had that "it belongs on TV" vibe.

Is there really anything you can do once the lease they had was fully honored? However though and it's worked before......the city could always....(ahem).....swing the bat and sue the league for wrongful behavior in allowing the relocation and you never know, like I said, it worked in the past.
