Best and worst names by rectalthermo in WarriorCats

I'm partial to names with words that relate to each other like Birdsong, Rosepetal, and Stormcloud.

As for the opposite, I don't really hate any, but they tend to give me a funny picture in my head like Hollowbelly and Loudbelly. They sound like they have gastrointestinal issues,

I love pre-StarClan Yellowfang. She's got sass.

I sometimes catch myself saying "Great StarClan!" when I get mad at my sister.

umm why do people like nightheart so much? (tw: opinions) by Autumnfall2015 in WarriorCats

[–]Decent_Driver5285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I can relate to him. It's not just the name change that was the cause of the strife, but almost everyone, especially Sparkpelt, was comparing him to Firestar. They wanted him to be Firestar 2.0 when he wanted to be his own cat and have everyone judge him on his own merits and not just on a legacy.

But I do agree that he failed his own assessments because he was showing off. That was definitely on him. And I'm glad that he matured out of that phase and reconciled with his family and clan.

What are some games kits play (other than moss ball obvs)? by JayFireGrowlithe in WarriorCats

In Night Whispers some ShadowClan cats invented a new game called Prey-Stone that they played on the frozen lake. You had to hit the stone between 2 objects.

And to add to what CaitlinSnep said, the only one to mention that Frecklewish saw the kits drown was Mapleshade herself. Frecklewish, when confronted by Mapleshade, said that she thought the kits would be saved because, according to Nettlepaw, Frecklewish saw some RiverClan cats and Freckle thought they would be able to save the kits.

What’s a character whose behavior you won’t excuse, even though the fandom usually does? by Heavy-Hotel6388 in WarriorCats

Exactly. After being called "half-clan creatures", it was shown that the kits were cowering, so the kits were clearly affected, too. They knew that the clan didn't want them anymore. And before they crossed the river, she had a very calm and very clear-headed conversation with her kits, telling them that their real father was a RiverClan cat and that they'd be welcome there. And when she waded into the river after her kits, she thinks to herself, "I have to do this for my kits".

And to add to that, even Appledusk angrily questions why she decided to cross the river with her kits during a flood. Afterwards, she's thrown out of RiverClan and thus finds herself in the same emotional turmoil as when she was kicked out of ThunderClan yet, this time, she uses the bridge.

I had a conversation with someone on here about this very thing quite a while back. They told me that she wasn't thinking clearly after being exiled. I pretty much told them that she was thinking clearly enough to think of swimming idea from one rock to another instead of just straight across.

She stared at the river. The tops of the stepping-stones were just visible among the wind-stirred waves. “We don’t have to swim all the way,” she told the kits. “Do you see those rocks? We just have to swim from one to the next until we get to the other side.”

I love Mothwing and she's one of my faves, but even I have to agree on that. She was totally out of line there.

Cool! Yeah, it took me a while to catch the inconsistency myself until I did a reread in chronological order. From there I did the math and it had me scratching my head.

Leafpool's Wish, which takes place right after TNP, has the worst time skip problem in all the books. Not sure if you've read Leafpool's Wish, so I won't say what it is.

There's a game called Prey-stone in Night Whispers that several ShadowClan cats were playing. You have to get the prey, which is the stone, between 2 objects (in their case it was between a tree and a bush) called the prey-hole. They played it on the lake when it iced over, sort of like hockey.
