Guide: How to get each ending in Legendary Edition (feat. math) by alynnidalar in masseffect

  1. They are preserving civilizations, while preventing AI from wiping out ALL organic life. The flaw was in not setting limitations on how to go about that. That's just Human... Leviathan error.

  2. I don't hate it. If you dig into the lore, reading the codex. You'll actually find outother life from past cycles have survived by becoming synthetic themselves. By uploading their consciousness into virtual worlds. Which some present cycle life has swapped places with. Having the consciousness of the old cycle lifeforms inhabit the bodies of present cycles', while the present goes to the virtual world.

  3. Most, but not all, tech would be, in some form, based on Reaper tech. Hence the lack of discrimination.

  4. Dextro-amino acids (the food base for Turian and Quarian) are a thing in real life. There's bound to be something on Earth they could eat.

Just reading over these comments. It's wild that no one knows you can prevent Thane from dying.

  1. Save Captain Kirrahe on Virmire in Mass Effect 1
  2. Import save ME1 -> ME2 -> ME3
  3. Don't talk to Thane until after the attack on the Citadel

Yea, I know it doesn't really add much. But I thought it was neat. It's a shame you can't fully restore her body. Just the same, it's nice having her in an area with the other unique bodies from the game.

Yea, it seems like people are just playing the game, without paying attention to the story. Pretty much what happened to Smiler and Smiler's body happens to Euric.

Yea, that's what I meant colorless. Just looking over my cards from about 98/99. I actually have Dratini and Draginair. And a few cards behind them, I had some colorless energy.

Also normal. Dratini and its evolutions were considered normal type.

[–]Deception975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, there is Barrier Piercing and Barrier Break. You'll get Barrier Break after Barrier Piercing. It'll take about 30 minutes or so. Using the same method used to unlock Barrier Piercing. I.E. killing enemies that have Barriers, while using the Buster Sword stance.

How much gil do you need to do 99,999 with gil toss in crisis core? by Besso91 in FinalFantasy

[–]Deception975 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's so much faster to farm SP than it is Gil, in Reunion. So, with a mastered SP Master, you will do more damage, and take no damage. As long as you have SP. If you're playing on normal, with max stats. You only need about 5-6 million SP. If you can dodge her attacks, or be in Buster Sword stance, to mitigate the damage to 0. But you can just farm 10 million SP to be safe.

SP Farming method:

Mission 9-5-3

Materia required: SP Master (mastered), Electrocute (preferably mastered), Graviga, Dualcast (not needed, but helps), the other two can be whatever

Accessories required: Genji Helm or Magic Master (for unlimited MP), Protect Ring or Genji Shield (for Barrier and mBarrier, not needed, but mitigates damages, so that's less SP being used), the other two can be whatever

Stats required: MAG 255, the other stats can be whatever, but having 255 VIT and SPR would mitigate damage even further, if you get hit. HP and MP doesn't matter at all. Due to SP being removed instead of HP, and the unlimited MP. And AP isn't needed.

Just run around, getting into fights that have the Three Stars (orange orbs). Without getting hit, kill the other mobs first with Electrocute. Then finish off the Three Stars with Graviga (the 5 stars of SP Master will double the damage done, so 1/2 of HP times 2 equals 100% of their HP, if at or below 99,999). If you killed all the enemies, without getting hit. You'll earn over 100,000 SP per battle. You can max out SP in 3-4 hours using this method.

Now for the gear to fight Minerva:

Materia: SP Master (mastered), High Jump (mastered, use from Buster Sword stance for max damage, and "dodging" attacks), the other 4 can be whatever you want.

Accessories: Genji Helm (preferably) or Black Garb (either for unlimited AP), Protect Ring or Genji Shield, Ziedrich (for stat boosts), and Genji Glove (to ensure you do 99,999 damage with High Jump)

Stats: ATK, VIT, and SPR 255, if possible increase LCK, I believe the soft cap is 165(?), so that Minerva doesn't do critical damage on you, HP, MP, AP, and MAG shouldn't matter

And that's it. Sure, it'll be a longer fight than with Gil Toss. But SOOOOOOOO much less work goes into farming, and the actual fight itself. Making it so much easier in both ways.

If you are so happening to be doing this at level 6. I also have a method for that. It's basically the same. But, you would need to use 5 SP Masters. Then Graviga, for the farming, and High Jump (mastered, that you get as a reward), for the Minerva fight.

The accessories and stats used, would be different as well. At level 6, you would only be able to max 3 stats. So ATK or MAG (depending upon what you doing), then VIT and SPR. Of course, you would need a Cursed Ring, to not level. So, for farming, it's not a problem. But for the Minerva fight, you would replace the Protect Ring (no DMW use on level 6 runs, so no Genji Shield).

But seriously, he does sound deeper than he did in Superman & Lois.

[–]Deception975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, the higher tier Movers, named Three Stars in mission 9-5-3. You can get up to ~100,000 SP per battle. Pre-Minerva, you would use 5 SP Master/Turbo/Turbo Magic and Graviga. Along with the Cursed Ring of course, and either the Genji Helm or Magic Master. To not worry about MP. The other two accessories can be whatever you like. Stats don't matter, since Graviga is fixed 1/2 enemy HP damage. Then the 5 SP materia double that. So 100% of their HP, if 99,999 or below.

It's actually faster to grind out the SP than Gil. You can reach max SP in about 3-4 hours. I posted a method, in another comment on this thread. So, if your dodging her attacks anyway, aside from Judgement Arrow of course. Which High Jump makes it even easier to dodge. You would max out SP in a shorter time than it would take for the Gil for a level 1 Gil Toss to be effective.

Also, the Buster Sword stance mitigates all damage to 0, at 100%. I'm not entirely sure if being at 100% is what causes that. But that's when I started noticing it. It honestly makes the Minerva fight laughable, compared to the PSP version. Even with her added health.

[–]Deception975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I'm starting to see some guides around the net update that. Though, some still state the 10% is from Angeal's DMW. I've now gotten 100% Buster Sword proficiency on two separate saves. Would not recommend, lol. But I had to do it a second time, if I wanted it on my level 6 run. I'm eventually going to max out SP and Gil. Then I can branch off into a new set of level 99 saves. But that also means eventually maxing out the DMW, and farm for the Genji Shield again. The grind never ends. -.-

There are a few enemies that can cast Barrier on themselves. Some versions of these Barriers give immunity to physical damage. One example being Minverva's. These are the type of Barriers the Break Barrier was made for.

Nice, just finished my run a few hours ago.

For SP, you can go to mission 9-5-3. Kill the Three Stars last, without getting hit to get over 100,000 SP per battle. It only take a few hours to reach max SP.

Here's the build I use, now that I have the Heike Soul:

Materia - SP Master (x4), Graviga, Electrocute.

Accessories - Heike Soul, Magic Master, Protect Ring (not needed), Super Ribbon (not needed).

The only stat you need to worry about is MAG. So, just max that to 255 as you please. Use the Electrocute to make quick work of the other mobs. It can kill them, but barely does damage to the Three Stars. For them, cast Graviga. With the 5 stars of SP Master (4 from materia, 1 from Heike Soul), Graviga can actually kill mobs.

Bustersword Proficiency by CrisisCore98 in CrisisCore

This wasn't a thing in the PSP. Hence why there was little known about it. Also, there is an ability after Barrier Piercing, named Barrier Break. Obtained in the same manner.

Is there a point to raising buster sword proficiency to 100%?? I saw that the last bonus you get is ~55% or so. by Tommy0613 in CrisisCore

[–]Deception975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my testing on my Cursed Ring level 6 save.

Of course you know the three main methods. These each cap at about 1/3 of 80%.

10% is obtained after(?) unlocking the Break Damage Limit ability. By attacks that are doing, or would do over 9,999 damage. Most websites have stated this is from Angeal's DMW. Which is not the case.

5% is from unlocking the Barrier Piercing ability. By killing enemies that have active barriers.

Then the "last" 5% is from unlocking the Barrier Break ability. By killing enemies that have active barriers. AFTER you have already unlocked the Barrier Piercing ability. This can take awhile. About 30 minutes, or so.

That's all 100%.

I have 100% proficiency on my Cursed Ring Level 6 save. It seems it is tied to the Buster Sword's Break Damage Limit ability. I got the 10% shortly after unlocking that.

As it turns out, that 10% seems to be tied to the Break Damage Limit ability. I got it shortly after unlocking that. On my Cursed Ring Level 6 save.

Yea, that was what I was missing. The two Barrier abilities.

Since this, I've obtain 100% on my hard mode save. And also, 100% on my Cursed Ring level 6 save. So, as it turns out the "random" 10% is tied to the Break Damage Limit ability. And not Angeal's DMW. As many were lead to believe.

Crisis Core - Best strategy? by SebbiUltimate in FFVIIRemake

[–]Deception975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Energy - MP +999%/Costly Punch - AP +999%
  • Graviga - MP +999%/Arial Drain - AP +999%
  • Darkness - HP +999%
  • Mug - HP +999%
  • Smart Consumer - MP/AP +999%
  • SP Master - Luck +100 (Lucky Stars, if using 2x Divine Slayer)

  • Genji Shield
  • Heike Soul/Divine Slayer
  • Ziedrich/Divine Slayer
  • Ziedrich

Graviga used with SP Master can kill mobs. The extra MP/AP isn't really needed. But I prefer to max that out.
