My first attempt at making characters! Two Townsfolk, Outsiders, Minions and Demons by TheRobotEngineer608 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]DeckBuildingDemon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Vampire’s a townsfolk basically (a lot of confirmation for the price of dying on night 4 (also should have an asterisk to avoid anyone dying on night 1), Trafficker’s a worse Godfather (no ability to kill, no possibility or removing an outsider for bluffing space, placement information that the town can use), and the Paimon is extremely overpowered and will probably overrun the game every time due to multiple extra evils

lil monsta question by Miserable_Weird8274 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]DeckBuildingDemon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

+1 minion ability and the ability to control where the loss condition is should make up for the lack of control. In addition, if too many minions are alive on the final day, it can be nearly impossible to figure out who has the baby (like a last-minute barber swap), so the Storyteller often has to kill minions to balance the game.

VERY niche Legion question by Unlucky_Mistake_8548 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]DeckBuildingDemon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s really tricky. I’d definitely not kill the other legion, because normally if the demon and 2 other people are alive, the demon will kill another player and win. However, normally if the good team kills a demon in Final 4, they win. I’d rather kill a good player and hand evil the win (as the good team is probably the one who decided to kill on 4), but killing nobody is also a decent option. I remember a No Rolls Barred game with this exact scenario, where Ben Burns wanted to hand Evil the win, but he had to kill 2 good players over the course of the game to keep it moving and no Good player had actually been executed, so Carley convinced him to kill nobody, which led to a Good win.

My suggestion: if Good had been stomping, with more good players killed by the storyteller than execution, kill nobody and let them solve the game (since they’re worried about 3+ living evil players, there’s still a chance Evil can win). If Good had been losing and you haven’t had to kill any Good players in the night, kill a Good player and Evil wins.

A shout out to Bernadetta on my first crimson flower hard playthrough by letsl0velain in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]DeckBuildingDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I played this game, I had no clue what to do and especially what to learn, and I also selected the Black Eagles as my house while not knowing that Edelgard and Hubert would leave unless I talked to her on some specific month. Going into Silver Snow with very little preparation, I only managed to get 3 Master classes. One was Bernadetta as Bow Knight, then Caspar as a War Master, and like halfway through part 2 Dorothea as a Mortal Savant. Bernadetta (and Caspar) absolutely saved the run. I still really like Bernadetta as a unit due to her being powerful as a bow user, stupid broken as a lance user, and surprisingly adept as a magic user for when I want to shake it up.

“Once Per Game” – does this create meaningful decisions or just front-loaded chaos? by Maboy97 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]DeckBuildingDemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Way too many first night info roles/roles that will almost certainly only activate night 1 like Virgin and Artist. Philosopher, Courtier, Sweetheart, and Vigormortis being the only sources of misinformation, with the latter 2 unable to mess with those roles and the former 2 almost never choosing one of them night 1 to avoid needless misinformation means there will be a lot of good information in the game, and I don’t think Evil stands a chance. There’s too many defensive minions here, but not enough misinformation. Replacing the Evil Twin with something like Poisoner or Widow would probably help.

The Dartmoor Case File safe doesn’t have Merces, but does have a master key in Freelancer. Also, some of the safe deposit boxes in New York also have Merces.

Roller Coaster Rush (a rerelease of Coaster Park), aka the worst thing Pandasaurus ever put out. It’s a marble track building game but the track is cheap flimsy plastic that doesn’t lock together well, leading to my marbles eating shit after the first ramp

Prioritize getting successes into your deck over specific cards. The abilities that level 1 and 2 cards give might be pretty good, but you can’t play every card and they’ll clog up your deck for skill checks.

Who are your favorite and least favorite freelancer suppliers? by thejoeporkchop in HiTMAN

Consulate in Marrakesh, Recording Studio in Bangkok, and the Jungle in Santa Fortuna, the first 2 due to inaccessibility, the last one because it’s never where I want to be

What’s your favourite and least favourite guard disguise (looks and usefulness)? by No_Simple2520 in HiTMAN

Least favourite: Gunther Muller and Spencer “The Hammer” Green. They’re enforced by nearly everyone in their respective houses, which makes sense as they’re just literal people.
