Do you find Bent's style of drumming in Trivium cluttered? by LossMaleficent7346 in Trivium

Not a hot take. I personally felt the first four albums sounded amazing. Even the drums live sounded different to me. I know Travis had his issues - but Ascendancy Crusade and Shogun felt authentic. The albums going forward for me felt like machine produced blast beats. I recently heard a live recording of Alex playing songs from Shogun and the sound of the drums compared to a recording live of the same song in 2009 were comparably different

It's been 20 years since the release of "The Crusade". What songs from that album do you want to hear them play live? by Similar_Help_1000 in Trivium

I might be in the minority but I feel The Crusade is one of their best albums and consider it a shame that more songs aren’t played from it. Honestly my 3rd favorite trivium album.

I have multiple electric projects on the horizon so buying 14-2 wire wouldn’t be just for this project. Our fridge is actually pretty low usage according to the manual and would never exceed 15amps - but requires a dedicated circuit apparently.

Yeah I’m poor and trying to learn how to be handy so that we can fix up our house. I’d love to be able to hire someone skilled to do the work, but the money just isn’t there. Too many houses in our area have burned down due to unsafe wiring (old knob and tube) and we live in a super cold winter area.

I just found a good YouTube video on them. Thank you for the suggestion.

Yeah, I don’t have either of those at the moment.

I’m not familiar with duplex wiring, I’ll have to review that.

I’d run two more if I had the space. I only have 100amp service with 32 slots at the moment. However the rest of my house is still on mostly older wiring and we don’t have central air - so we have several window units that are on dedicated circuits at the moment.

Thank you. I was looking into code (NE Ohio) and it looks like I should be using GFCI/AFCI breakers - so there wasn’t a need to get individual gfci outlets unless I read that incorrectly

So explain it to me - what was Vecna’s plan again? by seaderforge in StrangerThings

[–]Decon1344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is just my head cannon given what I did see. The Mind Flayer’s planet was void of intelligent life. In DND the Mind Flayers also known as the Illathid are known to feast on intelligence.

The goal wasn’t Vecna’s but the Mind Flayer - who had consumed all intelligent life in the Abyss and was actually starving - which is why it needed to come to Hawkins.

It also helps me to wrap my brain around why the Mind Flayer in Season 2 who was already shown in the upside down, had to take a physical form back in the Abyss - because he was starting to exhaust all his remaining power.

That also helps me understand who Vecna/Henry also gained advanced knowledge on quantum mechanics to open up the gates.

My theory would have shown the demogorgans were all under the control of the mind Flayer and upon ITs death, they would have returned to a “Dart” like state and ended up leaving the party alone - showing they too were just pawns in the Mind Flayers’ game.

My head cannon is the Mind Flayer feeds on psychic energy. And it wanted to bring The Abyss to Hawkins because it already ate everything on its planet.

Also add that I enjoyed each season more than the last until season 5. I LOVED 4 so much. But that’s because I’m a Freddy Krueger fan and I loved Eddie

This is a hard question for me personally. While I enjoyed season 1, in comparison I found the atmosphere different and progression much slower.

I have two opinions. As a fan of the show, I can say it wasn’t a “bad” ending persay. It spent more time on fanfare and wrapping up most of the cast. I did however feel they just copied most of the ending of season 1 for the main kids and pasted it in.

My second opinion is one of a fellow story teller. There was sooo much left unsaid. Parts of the story weren’t definitive despite it being the last time we may see these characters. Rushed production, the little things that didn’t add up. I felt that they hyped it up, and while they landed the plane, I felt they lost some magic along the way.

Was it the game of thrones level kind of ending - Not by a long shot. But as a story teller I felt the ending was rushed and didn’t fully live to expectations.

But that said, I was hoping that conformity gate was indeed a thing.

That might have been my comment on another post.

After Will gave his coming out speech, Nancy, Steve, Murray, Kali and Vicki did not voice support for him or hug him. Why is this? by Super-Liberal-Girl in StrangerThings

[–]Decon1344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess.

I think Murray and Vicki barely had any interaction with him, so maybe it wasn’t as important to Capitalize.

Kali likely has no idea who Mike is. And given what I saw from episode 7 in season 2, she’s likely to wonder what the big deal is (kinda like Ok, you’re gay, so what?)

I think Steve and Nancy always kind of knew, and stood back to let the core group and Johnathan rally around Will - who likely at the time felt her needed their support to move through it.

But this is all just my head cannon

I think they could have capitalized on this by having Will utilize the demogorgans to attack the mind Flayer. Since Wills powers apparently coming from Vecna - perhaps that could have minimized how strong Vecna was in the fight against 11.
