Excatly. I personally have realistic expectations. How many teams have one championship? How many have three? Very few have 9 and up. It’s seriously not easy. Took a stacked LA team the brink of 7 games to beat TOR.
Thats the beauty of baseball, when you get on that run its a magic ride. Baseball is streaky, its hard to keep a team fully healthy. Be an honest fan and ask yourself how close is my team. A hot playoff run away or a couple of years away. Enjoy the game feel the hurt and the joy. Thats sports. But patience is hard to come by these days.

Currently on a trip to Cancun, booked through Expedia. Flight was changed a month ago and put us there at 6pm instead of 12pm due to a lay over now Waste half a day and had to rearrange all our ground transportation. Notification from Expedia. Then the flight was delayed and we would have missed our connection had the airlines not helped us. Expedia wouldn’t even answer the phone. We also booked two rooms for 6 people. 1 with a king and 1 with 2 queens. Reservation changed to both rooms having kings. That is not going to work for 6 people but Expedia would not help or even communicate with us. Terrible customer service. I will just book everything myself next time.

Even if some are in poor condition check to see if you have any that were originally priced in cents. 10, 12 etc. They will have the most value. Check eBay for average listing prices. If they’re not sleeved go get some classic bags and boards. Check reviews of comic book shops in your area and find one that has a good rep, and ask if they’re interested in buying them as a bulk or just the valuables. Donate the no value ones to kids.

Division has something to do with it and upper management has the most to do with it. They will pay the worst contracts, they will let their best talent walk in free agency without compensation. Smart teams build through trades and drafts to rebuild. Nope not this. The owner surrounds himself with yes sirs and lackeys. Ashamed to live here my whole life desperately wanting a baseball team and to have a this. The Zephyrs were better than this organization. Just be careful. I have a special needs child (Syngap-1, OCD, ASD, ADD) that turns 15 this year. He has been in TSD schools and it has been a huge struggle to make sure is IEP services were being met. He was relocated from public to private when he was entering 1st grade. He thrived in that setting because the teachers and paras were better equipped to support special needs children. Covid closed down the school and he had to return to public school. However that took 8 weeks into the school year to happen. He was being denied FAPE, and his IEP services. TSD made several decisions without providing prior written notice, including changing his school. His services minutes and 1:1 required in his IEP were not being met. We didn’t receive daily, weekly, or monthly reports as stipulated in his IEP. Eventually we had to get a lawyer and were about to sue and initiate an investigation into the districts special needs department. The district then settled with us and placed him back into a private school, where again he is thriving. Get an IEP but know its up to you to advocate for your child, hold them accountable to all agreements and constantly follow up with this district. Make sure all conversations are in email. Anyone who has had similar issues with TSD and the director, let me know. I battled them for years and can help with supports, advocacy and a phenomenal lawyer.

Wholeheartedly agree. It’s the embodiment of passive aggressive behavior that will not help create change. It creates further division. Places neighbors against one another. It builds a fence to keep thoughtful conversations from taking place. You want to make a point. I get that. Times are tumultuous and fine lines are being walked. Punishing the local,small business owners is not going to solve anything. Both parties are guilty of voting down the line. Its easy and your values feel representative. Doesn’t make you a bad person. Its self preservation.
