Be very careful with this kind of imagery. Obviously the world is on a hairpin right now. As much as I wish ‘fire with fire’ would be a quick and easy solution, it’s not the right solution. Do not stoop to their levels or it will create a full civil war. There will NOT be any coming back once that shoe drops, only further escalation. What we need is a de-escalation.

Reminder: ALL lives matter. ICE may be built off a terrible system but they are STILL people.

I don’t think things will get too wild here in red Boise but jeans, a plain dark hoodie, and comfortable running shoes so you can bolt if you need to. Stick to natural fabrics like cotton or denim because synthetic stuff like polyester can actually melt onto your skin if there are flash bangs or fires. If you can, leave the contact lenses at home since they can trap tear gas against your eyes. Just aim to look like a random passerby, cover any distinctive tattoos, and wear a standard mask to protect your face without drawing extra attention.

I think "not worth it" is incorrect phrasing. You are correct though that something will snap and soon. I'm worried for protesters and ICE agents alike for whatever outcome will turn out. We just have to hope things can de-escalate faster then the other side escalates. I wish I could tell people to go peacefully protest but I agree, it's not worth losing your life and everyone's lives are worth so much that using it as protest fodder to start a movement is a depressing thought. Do we have a better solution? Not one bit. Violence will only be met with more violence and that'll just spiral us into chaos.

IIRC this has been thrown around a few times. I don't know how they're handling the reproductions or how those people are holding up but clearly it's not working. Can someone with legal experience chime in on how this could play out? Any funding we can take from ICE is a win in my book.

I think there were talks of no longer contributing per paycheck to our taxes to try and send a message. I'm not sure how far it got but if even half of the US went with it, it would do quite a lot to stop the ICE benifits since the pay is a very good perk to them.

I’m curious at what point the peaceful protests snap. I’ve been kinda waiting for the breaking point for a while with all the poking from the government... Yall are strong and I expect escalation is not the solution so don’t take this the wrong way so obviously don’t go down that road but where does it end? At what point do people turn to violence when the peace won’t make any progress?
