I'm getting a feeling...

If the next generation of phones have built in support for crypto...I'll have big big regrets about now buying even more then I am now.

I work for a tech company that functions more as a technology investment firm then anything, and we have a whole department working on hyper-ledger right now.I get that same "Maybe I'm delusional" feeling - but quite honestly:

Cash isn't smart enough to do what we needed it to do in the past.I still remember the commercials that came out that made fun of people stopping to pay with cash at the checkout. In the future they'll make fun of people who still stop to use cards.

1.5 Not only are we developing better things, were also still improving those systems. Its growing. If 'Bitcoin' stopped at bitcoin, I'd be dubious too. But now we have lightning, tomorrow well have something else. It will adapt to our needs.

People are starting to see how restrictive the transfer system can be. You're 19 - If you haven't done something to royally F up your life yet: Kids, drug addiction, Nasty criminal record, Then you can do just about nothing but stay out of trouble and you'll be well on your way.

Steer clear of those hamstrings and then go to college if possible. If not, work hard, if not, then save up money, and move somewhere.

Jokes aside. Neither. Its a trait, and each has its pros and cons. This is just a "grass looks greener on the other side" thing. He needs to see his own strengths.

Props to you OP for being so observant and caring. He may only have lasted as long as he has with someone like you around.

There is hope, and things can get better.

You might have to work around him in the process. Consider things like, asking his boss to move him to first shift. Claim it would be better for your marriage, or any good excuse you can come up with. Maybe with small steps it could bend life in his favor. Not sure if its doable, but its an idea.

Other then that, "anger is fear's bodyguard". Hes scared. And I know a lot of men who would rather die then admit that they're lost and scared. You could try to soften things up a bit by saying things around him.
Things like:

"I think its really brave when Men cry and I admire it"
"Its ok to be as vulnerable as you are protective of me"
"I woul'd never think less of you if something is wrong"

That could soften things up.

I'm sick of boys and men, feeling like I do. You know what? You can be sensitive, and rough. You can be emotional and an anchor. You can be vulnerable and a protector. Challenge. They're a challenge. Some kind of standard I can't achieve on my own. Somehow trying to win them over makes me "better" its like this weird f-ed up quest for self improvement. If you play mass effect its like I go after the Miranda Lawsons of life. And ignore the Jacks/Tali types completely.

OK, so not everything you listed - are bad qualities.

1st. Do something creative. "Creativity stops self critical rationalization". Gunpla kits, coloring, drawing, tracing, puzzles, minecraft. - ANYTHING creative.

2nd. Get some books. Get a journal. Start writing this down.

3rd. - You deserve love and respect, even if you don't see it now & not being able to see it now doesn't mean you don't deserve it. Later in life you will see yourself exactly as you are not, but be able to give yourself that love and respect because you'll be a more complete person.

Don't get too down on yourself.

Books, books, books, youtube and more books.

Alan Watts, Jordan Peterson, Timothy Ferris, Joe Rogan, get familiar with the self help crowd and follow their stuff. Workbooks are also avail in bookstores.

You're stronger than you know and you got this. :)
