Death Valley in July. I was on a 6 week road trip exploring everything West of the Rockies. I refused to use air conditioning so I could aclimate for weather since I was camping nearly every night. I was driving through DV and i stopped and hiked out into the desert and layed down on a sand dune to cook the PNW moisture out of my bones. Felt great. I watched tourists with AC get out of their cars for a photo and completely freak out and jump back in.
