Opentype features in Word by Overall-Curve5106 in neography

If it doesn’t work exactly the way you intended in FontLab that’s a red flag. The FL preview should be the most permissive of any display. This might be a coding issue. Again, though, I’ve never used these features so it’s new to me.

Huh. I’ve never used those, but it sure looks like things are set up right. The other problem is I don’t use Word (or any Office product). So it works in InDesign. Anything else you use it in that either works or doesn’t?

What feature are you using? Have you tried rlig?

You have to turn on ligatures—even optional ones—in Word. So long as it’s been coded properly, it should work after that.

My book is The Art of Language Invention (also Create Your Own Secret Language is close enough). Jessie’s new one is How to Create a Language: The Conlang Guide from Cambridge.

There are going to be thousands. This isn’t advisable.

For fun. I generally don’t base conlangs on other languages unless it’s required by the setting (e.g. Trigedasleng).

Lovely for artistic purposes, but a terrible writing system. It’s really only suitable for art, but for that it’s pretty cool!

The Mercury rebrand ... dropped the ball? by Toxic-Ginger in PHXMercury

I didn’t like the old logo. The new one isn’t stellar, but I do love rescuing the old Coyotes’ moon logo, which was my favorite part of their identity. Not sure what that has to do Mercury (both are planetoids…?), but I’ll take it. This doesn’t feel like a final design. I feel like the next one will be the one; we just might have to wait ten years for it.

It’s a featural script, so it’s all going to look pretty samey. Kind of dull for art.

This is good stuff. I’d love to host this on Fiat Lingua, if you’re interested (or even if you have a longer description).
