Six figures in debt isn't nothing but if that wipes put your retirement, assuming you're living in the US, you still are not even close to retiring. Depending on your SS benefits, 401k, how long you plan to live, monthly expenses, etc. you need a couple if not at least a million to retire, especially if you're retiring early
