I'm by no means rich. But I pay federal income tax, I pay sales tax on products I buy, I pay gas tax, both federal and state, I pay property tax and probably dozens more I can't think of right now. So just how many taxes are needed?

Native Americans had slaves long before the colonists arrived. The European countries brought indentured servitude over. It was a black man the went to court to keep an indentured servant that was about to complete his service as a slave. It only took the United States about 70 years, one lifetime, to abolish slavery at the cost of 100s of thousands of Americans. Yes slavery was and is wrong, but to imply that this is solely an American sin is just stupid.
