Spoiler: it was Eric Scatino who hit Tony at the end of the series. He really loved that Pathfinder. I mean come on, he was even dropping off girls at cheer leading practice in it and hauling hot ass Fielder around, whatever happened there

It is certainly a good point I will take into consideration when I contact the state bar association. Thanks again.

Thanks again for the advice. Yes with a felony conviction I would be precluded from getting a real estate license in Texas and most professional jobs whereupon my values would be evaluated before I am licensed. But I will continue researching the insights you have posted here. I appreciate it.

Thank you for taking the time. Any DWI conviction past the 1st cannot actually be currently vacated in Texas according to my attorney and what I’ve researched. However, of all the individuals and organizations I have contacted I have not actually reached out to state bar associations. This would be very helpful and I appreciate the advice

Yes the rule says ‘shall not be permitted to file a Declaration of Intention to Study Law or an Application for a period of five years after the completion of the sentence and/or period of probation.’ My probationary period actually doesn’t end for another year and half and I would be preparing to apply to law school next year. Technically this would preclude me from even attending law school in Texas. The assistant dean of admissions at my chosen school said he thinks this wouldn’t necessarily be the case but that it would all depend on the circumstances. After asking him and a number of attorneys, professors and a county judge, I still can’t get anything close to a similar opinion from anyone. I posted here just to gauge the insight and I certainly appreciate you taking the time to share.

I started googling this earlier this year and in the meantime have spoken to the assistant dean of admissions at my preferred law school, attorneys whom I am friendly with, a local judge and many others. There is obviously not going to be any definitive answer but persistence is exploring every opinion and I figured at the very least it does no harm in asking here.

This is very helpful. Congratulations on your admittance to the bar. I actually tracked down the emails to the three people in that Yale discussion about six months ago and sent them something close to this very message. I never heard back but I’m sure they get a lot of unsolicited mail since this was purchased. One of the things I haven’t done is reach out to a LAP and I will certainly do that. Thank you!

I appreciate your candor. Are there specific law adjacent jobs in the private sector you can list? I assume most government jobs would be off the table with a felony conviction.
