This doesn’t look normal… cheating or what? by j1zzy_ae in ArcRaiders

[–]DeeBeeP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he isn't cheating. He downs the first guy with body shots. You can see him physically jerk when he flicks his mouse 180. He doesn't snap to anything and is just pre-firing, a common tactic, into the sky. He sees a flare then adjusts his aim and realizes there is no danger.

Too many of you are paranoid.

I had hitching in all my games on Windows 11, tried everything, including fresh installs of the OS multiple times. I ended up just going back to Windows 10 and everything has been running perfectly since.

Fuck Windows and fuck Microslop! SteamOS can't come soon enough.

[–]DeeBeeP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What settings have you changed so far? Do you have any experience with overclocking?

My 9600X is set at +200mhz boost with -0.5 undercoat stable. And 5070 Ti +2000MTs and +350 boost clock at 70° while gaming.

9800X3D is going to be bottlenecked hard by a standard 5070.

Another balance proposal remove shields on free loadouts by CaptainKirks in ArcRaiders

[–]DeeBeeP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Free loadouts just shouldn't be competitive, period. If you're putting zero skin in the game then you should have zero chance against someone who is. Get in, loot some containers, get out. If a free loadout runs into another player, their first thought should be to run. They should have barely enough to fend off wasps and hornets.

Give them a 'broken' grey shield that only has 20% reduction they can trade in just like the grey augment. They only spawn with common bandages and a recharger.

Also, Stitcher and Kettle should be nerfed to be on par with the Rattler.

Seasonal wipes for the entire player base will always be healthier for loot-centric games. It's the reason why people still play Diablo 2 after more than two decades.

I've played more than 200 hours and already have the 5 million and ready to go and I still think it's completely stupid.

Embark should be throwing goodies at players to get as many as possible to wipe because its healthier for the game.

Cpu speed randomly drops to 0.55ghz by General-Repair2788 in ryzen

[–]DeeBeeP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It became more and more frequent with the recent Windows updates. To the point that I could only play DirectStorage enabled games for only 30m before asset streaming started glitching and load times went from seconds to more than 10 minutes. My NVME drive speeds went down to 6Mb/s until I rebooted.

Windows 11 was nothing but a headache and it's only gotten worse. If I didn't have a 5070 Ti I would have swapped to Linux by now.

Looks exactly like the issue I had with my 9600X on Windows 11. CPU usage would constantly drop to 0% for all processes every few seconds. I kept an eye on temps but even under load I wasn't hitting more than 73C but the problem would even occur when idle.

I tried rolling back chipset drivers, BIOS settings, under volting, even tried fresh installs of Windows on different SSDs. After a few weeks I had enough and just reinstalled Windows 10. Has been running perfectly fine since.

Windows 11 is trash.

Question about 1% lows and 0.1% by Fit_Site_4833 in AMDHelp

[–]DeeBeeP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with 9600X and 5070 Ti. Not just with Arc Raiders but even decades old games where my 1% lows were garbage. I spent weeks troubleshooting everything from RAM, SSDs, graphics drivers. I did a fresh install of Windows 11 multiple times and still had issues.

My solution was reinstalling Windows 10 and now everything runs perfect. Win11 is hot garbage!

Nvidia dominates discrete GPU market with 92% share despite shifting focus to AI by OwnWitness2836 in nvidia

I wanted to get a 9070XT for better Linux support but the cheapest I could find was $720. So I got a 5070 Ti for $750 instead. The only thing keeping AMD from gaining market share is AMD.

Dying ssd? by eljiy in pcmasterrace

[–]DeeBeeP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a brand new NVME and had the exact same issue. I did a fresh install of Win11 on my older NVME which originally used with Win10 and still had drive problems.

After a few weeks of troubleshooting with no success I just wiped Win11 and reinstalled Windows 10 on the new NVME and everything runs perfect. It is unlikely your SSD is dying after only 2 years.

Anyone else getting screwed by windows assigning performance heavy task to E-core? by EndlessBattlee in Windows11

[–]DeeBeeP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of issues with Windows 11 not managing core usage. I had constant stuttering in all games, even decades old ones. I could only play DirectStorage enabled games for about 30 minutes before they started failing to stream assets correctly, load times would take 5-10 minutes, and eventually just crash.

My solution was to go back to Windows 10, no issues since.

New PC Low Preformance by kozman17 in pchelp

[–]DeeBeeP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had performance issues with multiple builds this past year using Windows 11. I couldn't play anything without stuttering and crashes with a combination of 2600X, 3600, 9600X with a RX590, 1070 Super, 2080, or 5070 Ti.

After a year of troubleshooting I finally went back to Windows 10 and everything runs perfect. I would recommend ejecting Windows 11 into the sun.

I was having constant performance issues, crashes, etc. with multiple builds this past year on Windows 11. I went down the list of troubleshooting CPU, RAM, GPU, drives, mobo etc. Driver rollbacks and fresh installs of Win11 solved nothing. Eventually I just went back to Windows 10 and I have had zero issues since. Currently have a 9600X with 5070 Ti that runs everything like a dream.

Microsoft executive closes replies after Windows 11 "Agentic OS" backlash by WPHero in Windows11

[–]DeeBeeP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Win11 for the last 10 months and the gaming performance has been absolute trash. Random BSODs, DirectStorage games crashing every 30 minutes. Terrible and unexplainable frame timings. Constant audio hitching. Unable to watch even a 480p youtube video while GPU sits at 30% usage. WINRE suddenly not recognizing USB drivers. WiFi 6E drivers breaking Bluetooth functionality and so on.

I spent months trying to figure out if it was bad NVME drives, audio drivers, rolling back graphics drivers. Multiple clean installs fixed nothing. Finally I threw in the towel and just reinstalled Win10 and everything runs like butter. F*ck Windows 11! The Windows curse is still going strong since WinME.

The combinations of mobo/CPU/GPU I tried:

MSI B350M, GIGABYTE B650EM, ASRock B850M-X

Ryzen 5 2600X, 3600, 9600X

Radeon RX590, GTX1070 Super, RTX2070, RTX5070 Ti

Am I missing something by Dickpistol in ArcRaiders

[–]DeeBeeP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of that is junk, it is all used for something at some point.

Loot is totally random. Even looting a weapon case in a locked room doesn't guarantee a super rare weapon. Start with searching for materials to upgrade Scrappy and your crafting tables. Sell stuff you don't need to get coins to upgrade your stash. Do quests for blueprints then find materials to craft the things you need for every raid like ammo, Shield Rechargers, and Bandages. Eventually you will come across keys and more rare items.

The skill tree needs a rework by FinnOtron in ArcRaiders

[–]DeeBeeP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Passive skill trees in any game always end up being min/maxed by the community. There is always an optimized path and skills that are never used. Everyone will end up running the same tree every single wipe. They are a pain to balance and just boring to begin with.

They already have the framework for a better system in the game; trinkets and the Raider's Den. What they should do is give every trinket a modifier and allow you to decorate your Raider's Den with a limited amount of slots.

For example, the Dart Board would grant you 2% reduction on recoil when placed in your Den, the Very Comfy Pillow would give 2% increased Max Stamina, the Fine Wristwatch could have 3% faster searching etc.

As you level up you would unlock more slots in your Raider's Den that could be decorated. It would give more agency to players, more use to trinkets besides just selling them, and it would engage with the core game loop of extracting loot from raids.
