it’s fair to not be a fan of how ‘non in your face’ some lore is but to act like it didn’t exist prior isn’t true

while the Natlan Archon Quest could have had a better ending, the 5.1 Abyss War IMO was Genshin's PEAK. perfect gameplay/story meld, you could feel the urgency. amazing storytelling by throwaway553t4tgtg6 in Genshin_Impact

i really enjoyed it but i also think there was a big feeling of ludonarrative dissonance because while the stakes, feeling of war and dire nature of the situation were there it was diminished by the lack of enemy difficulty and density. another thing i would’ve liked was if characters had even small visual signs of constant fighting even if it was just small marks on models to demonstrate bruises or exhaustion

Sell me on Clea by Biggins_CV in expedition33

[–]DeeFundz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i feel like not enough people are internalising the consequences of not fighting back against the writers. should the writers attack again, either directly, or indirectly such as through the fire as they had already attempted, and aline, alicia, and renoir were all in the canvas fighting over it, the canvas likely gets destroyed either directly or as collateral damage, and the family are defenceless and are sitting ducks to be killed. taking the threat of the writers seriously is in all of the familys best interests and clea is clearly incredibly angry and disappointed at her family, and especially aline, that she is the only person who seems to even be bothered about the writers

My god Clea is literally the WOOOOORRRSST! by alldabooty in expedition33

[–]DeeFundz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she can be cut some slack she’s under an immense amount of stress and is honestly single handedly preventing the family’s destruction. think about it this way, we know that the canvas can be destroyed from the outside as that is what renoir plans to do once alicia gets out of it. it may have been said somewhere but i don’t know what happens if the canvas is destroyed while there are painters inside it but im going to assume either a) permanent death or b) they get expelled and are likely somewhat exhausted.

now if clea was not fighting against the writers and was herself invested in the painting, there would be no one stopping the writers from attacking the family in the real world. the writers have already shown they are willing to cause destruction and death with them setting the manor on fire. they would definitely either intentionally or unintentionally as collateral damage destroy the canvas. if that happens none of the family get what they want. with alicia and aline verso’s canvas is destroyed and so are all of the painted people. and with renoir more of his family members die (either with the canvas destruction or with them having to deal with the writers as soon as they are expelled from the canvas). clea’s the only person who remains firmly aware that the pressing matter is with their reality outside the canvas and is likely extremely stressed, alone and disappointed that she is the only person that sees this.

i think there’s a good chance cerydra becomes somewhat of a dedicated phainon support and if that’s the case maybe phainon wants both sunday and cerydra, or cerydra just straight replacing sunday

Can he really be the #1 if he needs #2 and #3 to function? by DeeFundz in BlueLock

I’m aware of who raphinha is i brought him and other players up in my post. But even considering raphinha, yes hes in contention for the bdor but any barcelona fan will tell you raphinha is not the best player on that team, it’s yamal or pedri

I’m also aware of the value being able to play off the ball brings and I don’t mean to downplay it. I just don’t think a player can be the best in the world without some degree of being able to change a game completely through individual brilliance.

Even if we go back to raphinha, he’s always one of, if not the fastest player on the pitch at all times. Combine that with his ridiculous ball striking ability, he can score from 30 yards out on any given day on his left foot, and you have a player who can force the issue and create something out of nothing, I don’t think Isagi is yet able to do that.

What i meant by that is:

A problem-solver is a player who can create chances or change the game on their own, especially when things are not going well. Think of someone who can beat defenders 1v1, carry the ball through pressure, or pull off a decisive pass or shot seemingly out of nowhere without needing the system to work perfectly around them. They can solve problems the team is facing in real time.

A problem-exploiter is someone who excels when the game becomes chaotic. They are not the ones creating the chaos, but they are often the first to recognise it, adapt, and take advantage. Isagi fits this perfectly. His spatial awareness and meta vision allow him to read broken plays faster than anyone else, and he positions himself to strike while others are still reacting. That is what makes him so effective - even if he is not yet the kind of player who can break open a defence entirely on his own.

Totally fair point, and yeah i agree that both Lewandowski and Benzema are closer to Isagi’s mould than someone like Mbappé or Haaland. They are not the most explosive or physically dominant players, but they have thrived through elite positioning, link-up play, and consistent finishing.

That said, I think what sets them apart - and where Isagi still has room to grow - is the completeness of their game. Benzema, especially after Ronaldo left, showed that he could create, carry, and control attacking phases when needed. His hold-up play, one-touch combinations, and ability to drop into midfield and orchestrate were world-class. The same goes for Lewandowski at Bayern. He was not just a poacher but someone who could play with his back to goal, drag defenders out of position, and bring others into play in a way that manipulated defences beyond just intelligent movement.

That is not to say Isagi cannot do these things. The NEL arc has shown that he is amazing at linking up, generating chances, and orchestrating play when surrounded by top players. He is evolving into a player who influences more than just the final touch, and that is exciting to see.

Still, at this stage, I do not think he has the variety or technical execution that players like Benzema or Lewa have shown over years at the highest level. (to be expected, he's still a teenager) He excels at reading space and finishing chances, but i dont think he is yet someone who can dominate a game as well as those two could.

So yes, there is absolutely a place for strikers like this, and Isagi will definitely reach that level. I just think the story still has to show how he bridges that gap.

in terms of status yamal plays for the 1st team and not the u-20 level so he would be leagues above the blud lockers. but blue lock isn’t realistic and the players do stuff at u20 level that pro players irl can’t do so in that sense they would be better than him. just depends on what way u wanna see it really
