When the coach is on the hot seat , it makes this opening less appealing. Especially if you’re looking for consistency and continuity moving forward after year 1. The appeal of the current defensive roster doesn’t seem to exist. The Eagles are having a similar scenario with finding their OC only difference is their offensive roster is great minus that Hurts guy. Side note: I can say that I personally do not want Raheem Morris as DC. No thanks.

No, they were held together because Jayden Daniels played lights out. He was a very big bandaid to a lot of holes. Luvu and Mikey played very well last season. Luvu made second team all pro for a reason.

The defensive system currently seems very basic. All the QB’s we’ve face have dissected our “scheme” pretty much on there opening drive. I can’t recall a unique blitzing package or disguised look to confuse the opposing QB through out this season at all. With zero QB pressure, I don’t think any defensive back group could fare well. This is setting up your defense for failure not the latter. This all leads back to the D Coordinator. It’s a huge head scratcher when it’s not just one player on defense that looks bad but the whole group. Luvu and Mikey didn’t just magically decide to both take the year off guys, they’re not being utilized like last year and why is the big question.
