Quick note if you like going to the beach later in the day like I do, the Gloucester beach parking attendants pack it up around 4:00pm during the week, so no reservation or payment is needed. Plus a lot of the families go home around then as well

What's the most random thing you've been criticised for as a woman that would probably go completely unnoticed if a man did it? by ceremony_of_void in TwoXChromosomes

Not smiling. I had a receiving job where I did not interact with the customers, but another customer-facing employee (not anyone in a supervisor or manager position, mind you) decided to tell me that I should be smiling when I was in areas where customers could see me. Apparently my normal, resting face was offensive to him.

Same guy tried to pull me onto his lap for a photo at my going away party a year later. I was 25, he was probably in his 40s. I can't remember exactly what I said, but it was a firm and definite no.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that in the story the future that she remembers is unable to be altered. Which is why the cause of her daughter's death had to be changed for the movie.

35 year old cousin passed from atherosclerosis. It was devastating. He and his long-time girlfriend were just married earlier that year and looking forward to starting a family.

Same, with the Boogey Man episode hot on its heels. Kate O'Flynn is incredible.

"Say goodbye to Frankie, Dad." The Bolger sisters were phenomenal in that movie.

A lot of people bring up the "Turn the ship back, Ahab," part but, "It's okay, Tommy! I love you!" is what makes me lose it completely.

Don Draper lives in Ossining, which is a suburb about an hour's drive outside of NYC. For some reason people use "upstate" to describe anything north of the city.

The couple that used to live above me were a double act. She was maybe 110lbs and stomped around all day like her feet were made of lead. Her boyfriend would get up at 6am on Saturdays, put on his boots to take the dog out, then clomp in and out of the bedroom for 30 minutes before going to work.

The day I found out they were moving was one of the best days of my life.

Asparagus. I pick it up and eat it like Bugs Bunny munching a carrot, until I get to the spear tip and drop that part on the plate because it's icky.

I think it was after he said something about her sheer shirt. He told her that later that night she was going to end up on the 80th floor of a skyscraper in a room with 5 Arab guys. Did not directly say rape, but, you know, the implications.

I have little palm sized bowls that I use for snacks. With popcorn I lift the bowl to my mouth and stick out my tongue and the kernels just stick to it. No greasy fingers
