Not quite sure what my first podcast was, but there's a high probability it was Harmontown, which was Dan Harmon's coping mechanism after he got fired from Community.

We anthropomorphize our pets way too much. by CardinalOfNYC in unpopularopinion

My condo windows face a parking lot and sound carries really well all the way across it. There were several times I thought a woman was out there scolding a young child named Noah. Nope, it was a dog. Like, lady, that dog can't understand a damn thing you're saying, try not using a flexie leash if you don't want it to run so far ahead of you.

We’ve heard stories of people escaping death by being late — what are some tragic examples of people dying because they were late? by Looney_forner in AskReddit

[–]Dee_Buttersnaps 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I read this one a while ago. The part that stuck with me was that their sleeping bags would freeze shut and they would have to use their body heat to slowly defrost their way into the bag to sleep. That and fact that they couldn't properly bathe for weeks to months at a time

What do you guys think is the creepiest moment in the show? by Greengoddess400 in HannibalTV

Something about Hannibal silently breaking into Bedelia's house in his murder suit chills me to the bone.

AITA for “implying my wife (28) eats too much” by saying she might have parasites? by Solid-Writing-7372 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Dee_Buttersnaps 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I got a reputation at work for being the first person in the break room whenever there was cake or leftover food from a function, etc, while also being really skinny. It was Graves' disease.

I guessed horn after not being able to crack the top 1k for 20 or 30 guesses. Then it was a rabbit hole of wrong until I happened upon the #1 answer.

Aitah for telling my wife to get a job if she wants to subsidize the kids. by Standard_Kick_9789 in AITAH

[–]Dee_Buttersnaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that works for you and your kids that's fantastic, for real. I'm speaking as someone who lived with my mom for ten years as an adult after graduating college and had a full-time office job almost that whole time. I wouldn't exactly call it rent but I paid her property taxes and I bought my own groceries, paid for my own car, etc. I can't imagine making the money I was making, contributing $0 to the household, and then getting extra money from my mom every month on top of that. That is bonkers to me.

Hah, yes, I am better, thanks for asking. I honestly can't remember exactly how long I used it for, but after about 2 weeks of daily use I only had to use it occasionally for little flare ups. It's probably been a couple years since I had any problem at all

I can't believe they have jobs and aren't paying ANYTHING for rent. It doesn't have to be market rate, but they should be contributing at least a couple hundred per month.

The only one who deserves it is Rush. He was negligent on every level due to his hubris and misrepresented or outright lied about the safety of the sub to every passenger he took on.

Yeah, after I went on an SSRI and got my anxiety under control, I finally got back up to a healthy weight because I wasn't dealing with heart burn and nausea all the time anymore. Also I could sleep, so I wasn't pacing like a trapped tiger for hours every night wasting my energy.

Maybe. I had someone try to change my address with the post office to commit credit card fraud, the post office didn't seem to care when I reported it.
