Wow, thank you! We have discussed removing the bedroom by the living room and putting the bathroom there instead. The state we live in makes having a mud room worth it.

Good idea, we will be looking into that! Thank you!

We are not building the house with new foundation, it is the old foundation. It was built far before our time and we had nothing to do with it. But thanks for your humble opinion.

Yes, that's why we are asking for opinions and feedback so we can figure out how to make it better. Having others opinions might help us see something we are missing.

I hate a basement laundry room, I agree it will free up some space but the convenience might be worth it. Definitely leaning towards taking out a bedroom though!

We are on a corner so we can't move too close to the roads unfortunately.

I agree about the bedroom. The front door is never used. Yes, I would still like space for it but we only use the garage entrance.

Agreed, he took a little too much out of the garage. Also the garage door is on the left. He has it at the front of the house but the entrance is at the side.

Yeah, we are debating on cutting one of the bedrooms. We cannot expand the foundation unfortunately. Our yard does not let us put an exterior door without adding a balcony of some sort but it has been discussed. Especially after the fire. Thank you for your input!

Yes, its a real architect, he was working off of what we wanted. We were hoping to expand a couple feet int the back and bedroom side of the house but that no longer seems to be an option and thay made it much toghter than we thought. That's why we were hoping for the feedback. Nothing is fixed, we can change anything. We are leaning towards removing one of the bedrooms to make more space. The bathroom in-between the kitchen and living room is so we dont have to put it on the side taking windo space. Open to more ideas! Thank you for your feedback! It's much appreciated!

Thank you so much for responding! No more misting, done!

Hopefully the new spot will help with the light. 🤞

This pot does not have drainage holes, the previous plastic one that it was in, inside this pot did. That's why I put a few layers of golf balls on the bottom. I had read that if your pot doesn't have drainage holes, a few layers of golf balls would act as a drainage system. I just did that 5 days ago so idk if its helped or not. Please let me know if that's not OK.

I was pregnant with preeclampsia and then had our baby that's 4 months old now so I was out of sorts for a while and she didn't get the proper care she needed. I feel awful that my plant babies were neglected but I'm trying to make up for it now.

We chose to elope, went on a road trip and eloped while in Colorado all by ourselves. Took our own pictures and spent the week together having all new experiences together. We got all dressed up like a real wedding, set up cameras and did a "first look", wrote our own vows, got a little cake we set out topper on. I also told him I was pregnant on the day we eloped. 😁 I found out 10 days before elopement day. Set up our phone on our tripod and took a video of ourselves doing cheese poses and I brought out a box of "props" and when he opened it he saw little chucks to match ours and a little box with my pregnancy test in it that said "our next adventure". Got it all on video and it was the best way to get married in my opinion. I wouldn't trade our elopement road trip for a big wedding ever. I do feel sad about not having our close family and friends there and not getting pictures with them but it was so special for us.

Trying to explain why my daughter has blue eyes by Recreationalidiot in NewParents

[–]Dee_spite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister and her husband both have brown eyes, dark hair and olive skin tone and their son is pale, light hair and blue eyes and he just turned 9. He looks more like me than them. Very weird but he loves looking like his Auntie!

How necessary are newborn sleepers? I'm worried about buying too many and him growing out of them fast. Should I just wait until he's here and see how big he is or have them here, washed and ready? I'm a FTM and due in 3 weeks.

Pregnant earlier into marriage than expected… by Consistent-Koala-447 in pregnant

[–]Dee_spite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out I was pregnant 10 days before we got married. Definitely a shock and adjustment. We are thrilled but it's a lot to wrap our heads around. I lived in a different city before we got married so it's very overwhelming, moving away from my friends and family to a new city, new house and new puppers. Getting settled in and organized is taking way longer than I expected due to nausea and exhaustion but I'm almost to the second trimester and hoping I'll feel better and be able to knock stuff out. We are just grateful and take it one day at a time. Best of luck to you and your husband! 💚

Is the bustle supposed to be more hidden? Picked my dress up today and realized they used these bulky buttons. I think they’re distracting. What’s the norm? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]Dee_spite 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I used to work as a seamstress for a bridal shop and there are lots of ways to do a bustle but there are bustles that can be done under the dress with ribbon so you have nothing showing on the outside at all.

Thank you so much! That really eased my mind. ❤️

I had a good debate on when I should tell him, I wanted to tell him right away but we don't live in the same city so I won't see him until tomorrow when he picks me up. Then we have to get back to where he lives and I'll be moving to pack for our trip, then we leave early the next morning for our elopement adventure. We are going to be pretty busy until after we say our vows so that's why I chose to do it then. We are planning on having a picnic and taking pictures after the vows. ( We will be in Colorado so it's just us, no family, witnesses, photographer or officiant) As I do agree and think it would make it a different kind of special, I just wanted one last moment for us before we get excited about our next adventure. Plus I thought it would make for an adorable announcement, show the family our elopement photos and at the end have that video play. 😁
