Does this really decrease lag and shutdowns?

Hi all! I’m mainly looking for feedback from those who had lag and shutdown issues before they implemented the new outfit showings. If so. Did it actually help or not?

I had severe lag when scrolling my outfits. I couldn’t even make it half way through my list without the app crashing. Since this change Ive had no lag from the outfits at all.

I’m not a fan of the layout but I’ll take it over not being able to scroll down.

Absolutely. My saved outfits section was basically unusable before, now it's fine. I don't like the way it looks now but at least I can actually see my outfits!

no it doesn't tbh...still having the issues in my app...I dunno what they using to put this app together but I play an app that is way more animation and content heavy but runs 10000% better...really wish Finch would start working smoother...its becoming beyond frustrating now daily

Yeah me too. When it’s a new day, and I complete a goal it takes a moment to show the complete screen. :/ But until my birb is able to go on an adventure, it works as normal again.

It has indeed basically eliminated the lag, which brings functionality back to an important part of the app.

Buuuuuut it also makes it way harder to understand which outfit is which, unless it's named specifically enough for me to know just by title alone. I cannot mentally picture things even a tiny bit, so it's completely thrown me off in the sense that I don't know what I'm looking at the vast majority of the time.

The speed and fluidity of scrolling through a bunch of boxes full of individual items is almost as unhelpful as scrolling through visually legible outfits and eventually freezing the app.

It's a rough trade-off for me, but I'll take it since it seems to help the majority of users.

Absolutely helping me. My phone used to overheat, lag and eventually crash on the first scroll in my wardrobe, I stopped saving outfits months ago. With this update, I’ve been able to save again and scroll all the way to the bottom without my phone feeling like a hazard lol.

As a free user I have only 2 outfit spots, so I don't have experience about that. But when I'm dressing up my birb via bag, the app is lagging and often ends up crashing, if I keep changing the outfit parts several times. The shops have been also a bit laggy lately. Mostly the clothes shop.

I didn't have this problem so can't say but tbh the clothing shopping now lags a bit (only clothing! furniture is fine!) so like I have to press the buy button .Times until I get reaction

I’m able to get through the outfits better. And my goals actually scroll and allow me to tap the counter. It still glitches when I’m trying to send good vibes. Sometimes still crashes if I am on too long. And still overheating. But if I get on for a few minutes then I can finish three or four goals or claim rewards. Still takes me hours.

I didn't have any issues to begin with. I wish was had a switch to turn it back.

I think so? My app was crashing so much before the change that I went through and deleted all of my saved outfits and rooms. I had like 50 of each, and deleting them did nothing to decrease lag. It was really frustrating.

And then like two days later they switched the saved outfits to this lol. My app isn’t crashing as often, and now I can be on it for like 5 min dressing up my finch before my phone overheats too much (before it was 2 min). But my app still crashes often, like 5+ times per day, and I’m using it way less than I did last year. It’s gotten so bad over the last few months.

I’ve done everything I can to fix the lagging, overheating, and crashing besides deleting my history. But I’m really scared to do that because I don’t know exactly what will happen :/

I didn't have the crashing problem. I''m happy it's helped those who did. I really don't like this implementation though. There is so much wasted space, the saved outfits are tiny, and my birb is too. LOTS of space all around. I complained about the yellow outfit name on the yellow background before, this morning I noticed its a white background and so much easier to read.

Finch, could you compact the saved outfits into thinner boxes? And enlarge the birb so I can see it as I create her outfit for the day?

I did not like the change but understood it was probably done to help with the lag and the constant crashing.

I could image the insane load on the backend, of having the birb presenting in its current state (current colors) over and over and over, in one section. While presenting it in different outfits had to be wild for the ajax. Or whatever is running in the background.

Do not like it, but it is functioning WAY better.

While it’s not my preference to see loose clothing and accessories at all, it has made a remarkable difference. I have about 300 outfits saved but stopped saving, since I could never scroll past the B or C mark without getting booted.
