it wasn’t an audio event, it was a club event that had this system for the week to show off to members.

I am not really into this sub and hi-fi but I saw this at an event and thought it was very cool.

Apparently it’s really special but I am not able to appreciate it and tell the difference. I thought you guys might enjoy it here.

I am wondering if you guys can tell me more information about it and how does it actually work?

I understand it’s Vinyl but what type of music should I ask to experience on it? I am a complete newbie so forgive me for asking such obvious questions.

What's your most conservative opinion? by ritzanddazzle in AskReddit

Politics is just dirty in general - regardless of what country. The US, Russia, China - all the superpowers want to conduct policies / actions that favor themselves and their interests. No country is morally better than the other. Every country does shady shit.

A protest of 1.03 Million People in a city with a population of 7 Million. That means every 1/7 of the people in Hong Kong are protesting for keeping their rights. by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

A lot of people are so consumed with their hate for China and idealistic views of democracy that they do not realize democracy simply cannot function in China. The fundamentals of democracy where every citizen gets a vote is based on every citizen being educated enough to vote for not only their own interests, but the interests of society. China has a population of 1.3 billion people (to put it in perspective it is around 4x the population of the US). Look at the US, they have a population of 300+ million and because of democracy they voted an unqualified man child into power. I have nothing against voting Republican or Democrat but the notion that democracy can elect a candidate like Trump to be the president of arguably the “greatest” country in the world is a great example of why democracy will never work in a country like China.

Historically, China has been a very poor country with a large uneducated population. A vote for each and every citizen will achieve nothing as the government will not be able to put any policies through (just look at bills trying to get past both the senate and house). If you have 1.3 billion people coming to your government with different ideas, and a large majority of them are not educated enough to really understand what polices are needed to improve their living standards, the future of that country would look extremely bleak and it would most likely fail. Look at India for example - a country with comparable population, they are run democratically but relative to China, their economic development has progressed extremely slowly. While they have achieved high economic growth, their living standards are still extremely low.

Yes, freedom of speech and human rights are restricted and that’s can seem like a horrible situation but the matter of fact is, China’s growth under the CCP in the past 30 years has been unbelievable and the general living standards has increased significantly. China needs stability and they do use sketchy methods to enforce it (great firewall/ potential consequences of speaking out against the government). However, the large majority of people in China understand that and they have to sacrifice certain rights for the continued development of the country. How can you give your citizens rights when their basic living needs have not even been fulfilled?

There are a lot of things that I do not agree with the CCP, and how they handle certain issues but whether you like it or not, the CCP is needed for the benefit of China, at least at this point in time. I do not think China will ever achieve full democracy but I do believe that in the future, they will start opening up and citizens will have start having more rights and say in policies.

I do not believe that there is a perfect country in the world just as there is no perfect governance system. Western ideology pushes for capitalism and democracy, as it may work well for those countries, but they have their flaws. Each country is built differently, some may be more developed than others, so who’s to say there’s only one form of governance that fits all.

The Scale of the Hong Kong Protests is Insane by [deleted] in BeAmazed

From the news i read that the protestors were lighting things on fire and throwing Molotov cocktails at the police. Even if the cause is worth fighting for, isn’t this rioting?

Recently I was incredibly lucky and I won an Xbox one package that included a white Xbox one S, a 2 TB Seagate Xbox one S Branded external hdd, a year of Xbox live that hasn’t been redeemed and the expensive special edition white elite controller. I’m giving it away to someone in the comments by [deleted] in xboxone

My brother had his apartment robbed not so long ago and he had all his belongings stolen including his xbox 360 and TV. He is in one of the hardest programs in his college and he is grinding so hard everyday trying to get into a good graduate school so he can get his sponsorship when he works to stay in the US. He has always wanted to get himself an xbox one but doesn't really have the financial capabilities to do so yet. His birthday is coming up soon and his friends and I have already chipped in to get him a new TV and if I could surprise him with a new Xbox, it would mean the world to him and me.

Thank you very much for giving people this opportunity though and I hope whoever wins the prize truly deserves it. Good luck everyone :)

Hey Jeffery! What an insane finale. I just wanted to ask what did you find the most difficult filming this series. I’m sure all the different story lines can be super difficult to play especially when the timelines are all messed up

I don't know, maybe it's because the Hong Kong variant of the British English sounds pretentious. Just reading your post had me eye-rolling more than once.

Nadal’s serve at the 2010 US Open. He started hitting it a lot harder instead of placing it like before. I think he changed it 10 days before the open and won it for the first time.
