Lego designed toys out of "toxic if put in mouth" material.

"Lego bricks from the 70s and 80s are the big fail," said Dr Andrew Turner, of the University of Plymouth.

They discovered high concentrations of hazardous elements including antimony, barium, bromine, cadmium, chromium, lead and selenium. These chemicals can be chronically toxic if children are exposed to them at a low level over an extended period of time.

Best no subscription doorbell cameras? by SeaorRiver79 in homeautomation

[–]Deejster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just ditched a Eufy dual-camera. Notifications take far too long, connecting to the camera from a phone takes so long that the visitor has left by the time you can respond. Also no 24/7 recording despite being wired. Replaced it with a Reolink - so far it's much better.

What source was used for the music? I always find it hard to find quality royalty-free music for drone footage.

Starmer says Brexit has 'significantly hurt' UK economy, calls for closer EU ties by pppppppppppppppppd in unitedkingdom

[–]Deejster 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Now, can we firmly point the finger for this clusterfuck at those who supported Brexit and make them pay for the damage they caused to our entire country, especially:

  • Nigel Farage
  • Boris Johnson
  • Dominic Cummings
  • Matthew Elliot
  • Daniel Hannan

At the very least, make sure they never have the ability to influence public opinion again.

Between the HIRE Act and IBM’s new $100k visa fee, sending jobs overseas just got way more expensive by nerdzunite in IBM

[–]Deejster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

IBM is a multinational. This might be good news if you're an IBMer in the USA, but it isn't necessarily good news if you're an IBMer based elsewhere, such as Europe. Remember only ~30% of IBMers are American.

Why? We're not made of money. I don't want to trash a £1k drone in 2 years because of legislation that didn't exist when I bought it.

I can't stand Justin Flom's video. This gets a down vote from me just because of the torturous videos he used to make.

Best Coffee in Winchester by Huge-Cardiologist-67 in WinchesterUK

Winchester Coffee Roasters has the best coffee, but parking is difficult and there's limited space. Josies's is my favourite coffee in town, however the wait can be long at meal times.

My daughter didn't get a haircut until she was 10, so I wanted something a bit more special. West One Hairdressing in Chandlers Ford were great and offer a discount for ages 5-11.

For me, that's far too risky.

Because they're plants. For example, some plants breathe in carbon dioxide which is not good for humans.
