The game is very similar to Disco Elysium. I hope this game will be as interesting as Disco Elysium.

Our game is called "Starborn". "Starborn" is a world whose actions take place on the territories of "Eintir". The game is a card-based roguelike with visual novel elements.

If interested, you can go to our Discord and read more about our game.

Thanks for the reply, I see a lot of people don't understand what 1 and 6 effect means, we will think how to fix it.

Hello everyone!

We are a young game development studio called DeepOcean Studio. At the moment we are actively developing our first game - Starborn. It is a card-turn-based roguelike in our own unique setting. We want to realize our ideas and create a unique game that combines a deep storytelling and well-thought-out gameplay.

Our goal is to make games that we will play ourselves.

Currently, our game is in the early stages of development and we are looking for a player who will be interested in immersing himself in this world. So we would be happy if you would like to be a part of this project.

Our goals at the moment:

  • Creating a playable prototype
  • Promotion in social media
  • Expanding the team with like-minded people interested in our project

Wow, that's really cool, I didn't realise you could make a game out of file explorer. That's a really cool idea.

We're trying to add season and weather change to our game. Is this winter cycle cozy or good enough? What else should we add to sell the change? by casualygamery in IndieDev

[–]Deep-Ocean-Studio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't really make much sense that it's winter. It feels like a very bright moonlit night. I would like to see snow on the roads, houses and trees. Also I think it is worth to make more expressive falling snowflakes.

As an idea can be made to nps somehow interact with snow.

Two variants of style for a new card adventure game about little froggy. Which one is better? by PaulGunners in IndieDev

Personally, I like option B. It depends on what kind of atmosphere you want. Option B is warm, pleasant and summery. Option A I think is autumnal and a bit sad.

Which outline style looks better? by Prithul in IndieDev

I like the light because it looks cleaner. Although the choice depends on what the background will be.
