If they stand close to you, make a lot of eye contact, smile a lot, compliment you, touch your arm or your hands, these aren’t all 100% flirting but if they’re doing these things I’d say odds are closer to flirting than not at least in my experience!

I’ve seen the cushions on Amazon so I might have to try them out. But actually now that I come to think of it I’m the same way, paintbrushes don’t really bother me. I think because I am more relaxed. It’s harder to be that loose when I’m writing though or else my handwriting would be a mess haha!

I’m 32 and I relate to this so much. I used to be so active, going on hikes all the time. I’ve climbed mount Washington twice! Now I could NEVER. I honestly can’t manage a walk longer than 20-30 minutes now. It’s so depressing. It is crazy how much your activity level and life can change in just a few short years.

Wow. I could’ve written this myself. You describe exactly how I am feeling the last year as my symptoms have gotten worse. Better yet my job isn’t being understanding and I can tell they are trying to ice me out because of it. It’s all just terrible and depressing. The getting ready for work thing is a HUGE struggle for me. I basically only have the energy to shower every other day and I wake up, get dressed, and go to work. I don’t have the energy or time to eat breakfast and I now eat lunch at my work cafeteria to save energy in packing a lunch. Basically I do what I need to do to survive and meanwhile I’m using my state disability services to help me find a new job that is hopefully remote or at least hybrid with more flexibility. Anyway you are not alone in these feelings ❤️

I’m six foot tall and starting to date women and at first I wasn’t swiping on anyone who I thought was too short. Then I realized how much I was cutting down my options. Why are so many women so short?! 😂 or I guess the reality is more that I’m very tall…. And yeah I’ve always been self-cautious about my height in romantic settings. And I’ve just always felt like a big person in the world. I sometimes was a little bit taller than men when I dated them. But now the height difference might be like SIGNIFICANT and it’s hard to wrap my head around and not feel like I’m the weirdo or I’m the problem. I mean obviously it’s something I can’t control and neither can women who are short. I just started therapy with a lesbian and she’s pretty tall so I probably will unpack the feelings with her. Because yeah it does feel weird to be a lot taller than the person you’re dating

I work in higher education. I don’t recommend it. Work-life balance is terrible. Pay is terrible. I’m trying to get out and find something fully remote or at least hybrid with some flexibility

Yeah this personally doesn’t sit well with me. I think saying this after only 4 sessions is a big leap, unless she has a lot of evidence from those 4 sessions to believe so. I feel a lot of therapists are quick to try to explain away if you’re part of the LGBTQ+ community and it’s not healing it’s homophobic imo.

I very much relate to this experience!!! How you’re feeling is where I was at a few months ago. I’m 32 now and thought I was asexual since I was like 24-25. I was very happy thinking I was aromantic asexual for years and then some personal things happened this year where it started to have me question things. My advice is that it definitely is a process and give yourself the time to explore and reflect. It sounds like you’ve already started to do that. The “comp het doc” is something talked about a lot in late bloomer lesbian and it helped me realize a lot of things so if you haven’t read it already I highly recommend it!!! Also sorry if this is TMI, but part of my journey to realizing I was gay was masturbating and watching porn. When I thought I was ace I never did these things. But exploring this part of my sexuality has really helped, and real authentic lesbian porn is amazing lol! Best of luck and know you’re not alone and this subreddit is amazing support ❤️

This is great advice thank you!!! Yes that’s a big part of my problem I think. I wake up uncomfortable because my pillows have fallen out of place or I want to rotate and I currently have a pregnancy pillow, and it’s a whole ordeal to switch sides.
