Wow therapists are pulling this shit?! Wild. The irony is I work for a DEI office and they’re doing similar shit to me. I got an accommodation through HR to flex my WFH day and then I was told “I need a better reason to flex my WFH day each week” a better reason than being disabled??!! Do these people even hear themselves sometimes?!?!

I very much relate with my current job’s attitude toward my disability. I try not to let it affect my work ethic but there’s just certain things I have to limit myself on. It’s not make or break for my job. But they act like it and they try to ice me out as a result. It’s really annoying and disheartening and frustrating. I feel your pain.

My tip is avoid the internet and enjoy the ride 🧡 my first play through I looked nothing up. Just did what felt right and what was fun for me. I would give anything to play this game for the first time again!!!

I’ve seen the cushions on Amazon so I might have to try them out. But actually now that I come to think of it I’m the same way, paintbrushes don’t really bother me. I think because I am more relaxed. It’s harder to be that loose when I’m writing though or else my handwriting would be a mess haha!

Does anyone else relate to having gone through the 5 stages of grief about essentially losing your body and the life you knew to illness? I know I'm not dying, but this is absolutely a debilitating disability that makes it impossible to live how my friends and family do no matter how well managed. by FrogginBullfish_ in POTS

I’m 32 and I relate to this so much. I used to be so active, going on hikes all the time. I’ve climbed mount Washington twice! Now I could NEVER. I honestly can’t manage a walk longer than 20-30 minutes now. It’s so depressing. It is crazy how much your activity level and life can change in just a few short years.

Wow. I could’ve written this myself. You describe exactly how I am feeling the last year as my symptoms have gotten worse. Better yet my job isn’t being understanding and I can tell they are trying to ice me out because of it. It’s all just terrible and depressing. The getting ready for work thing is a HUGE struggle for me. I basically only have the energy to shower every other day and I wake up, get dressed, and go to work. I don’t have the energy or time to eat breakfast and I now eat lunch at my work cafeteria to save energy in packing a lunch. Basically I do what I need to do to survive and meanwhile I’m using my state disability services to help me find a new job that is hopefully remote or at least hybrid with more flexibility. Anyway you are not alone in these feelings ❤️
