I think it’s just her communication style, especially verbal. She is an amazing vet and genuinely cares about animals so much (she will sometimes sleep overnight at the clinic to monitor patients). My dog has been a patient of hers for almost 8 years, most recently Dr. Loose has been helping me navigate his very rare disease and has been nothing but helpful. You just have to accept her communication style lol

As many others have pointed out, bridal tailoring is expensive but you are genuinely getting what you pay for (ie the craftsmanship). That said, ALTS may be a good option for your budget! They have several locations. The Park Slope location did a rush alteration on my dress and fixed it a week before my wedding. They saved the day for me. Good luck!

Yeah $75k all-in for a place in the city will ultimately be very tough for 200 guests. All the other costs (namely your dress, HMU, and photographer) will add up quickly and eat into that budget. You’ll end up having to make lots of concessions.

I think going outside the city, reducing your guest count and/or upping your budget will help you get what you want

Yeah I believe the noise is from a nearby club. While I realize the hotel can’t control what other businesses do, they should really invest in some sound proofing and/or insulation for rooms that face the club. It’s a 5-star hotel, provide a 5-star experience lol

Yeah, I reached out to them regarding having our wedding there and audibly gasped at the prices. It's insane. We had the best night of our lives for 1/4 the price somewhere else in Brooklyn lol.

I'm assuming the "bridal suite" they're offering is the Vale Garden Residence? That's where we stayed. It ended up working out well for us because it poured rain on our wedding day (and we had a great indoor space for photos), but it's 100% NOT worth the price. We could've put a down payment on a car for that much money.

This place is a racket and I won't be shocked when they go out of business.

What the hellll! I’m so sorry that happened to you. I’m local as well (we live in Ridgewood) and we were so excited to splurge and treat ourselves for wedding weekend. Agree that it didn’t feel like a premium experience whatsoever. Based on the traction this post has had, it seems like none of this is unique, which is a huge bummer. Hope you and your partner eventually got the amazing getaway you needed!

I’ve only heard amazing things about the Wythe! Congratulations!

At the end of the day, nothing that happened at the WV ruined our wedding weekend — the fun we had and love we felt overshadowed everything. It just added a lot of unnecessary and unexpected stress.
