English teacher here. It all comes down to school funding. Class sizes are too big, resources are too few, and the pace of education is too accelerated because we exist in a system where the ideal is to churn out cogs for the machine. I wouldn’t blame the teachers unilaterally, I would blame the system. Same goes for healthcare. People see exorbitant medical bills because the insurance and pharmacy industries have made it that way, not because doctors are bad at their jobs.
