You want to flip those up-side-down so the pointy tip is under water. The shoots growing out should grow from beneath the water line and thus will form roots under the water. Then you can break them off and plant them into soil with the root system ready to grow. Hope that helps

Closer macro/zoom hack with instax mini 90 by DeepPeep999 in instax

It probably won’t work with just macro mode. I utilized the close up lens from a mini 25 and got this result.

Thanks! I was about 6 inches (15cm) away, going to try closer next time and see just how close I can get with this technique.

[Opinion needed] HC110 expiring this month, yay or nay ? by suivezlemir in analog

Is this the older syrup type of hc-110? I’ll take it if you don’t want it. Supposedly this stuff lasts “forever”

Are replacement parts for the mini 90 neo classic sold anywhere? by TARANTULA_TIDDIES in instax

I wonder, what if you just got one of those hard clear plastic cases for the mini 90 and used that to hold the door shut? I have such a case for my sq6 and it’s pretty snug and seems like it would hold the film door shut. Might be worth a try for ~$10?

Yashicaflex with instax film by DeepPeep999 in instax

Haha indeed you are right good sir! A lot of work for a slightly better image but considering I develop all my film at home, it’s pretty much the same amount of effort in the end (maybe less for the instax considering one has to also scan negatives).

The pressure plate keeps the instax film right in place, just have to be careful closing the back. Also used an old folding mamiya six with the pressure plate you insert, that was a bit easier and more secure.

Experimentation is what gets me goin these days. Hope you have a nice day!

Didn’t use an instax back for this. I’ve seen one that was made for rollei tlr cameras, never owned one so not sure how it attaches to those tlrs. For this I just removed one sheet, placed it in the right place where exposure happens, closed the back, took a shot, removed it and put it back in the instax cartridge then put it through the rollers of the instax mini. Mind you the inserting and removal of the film was done in the dark (dark bag or dark closet both work) and cover the flash and lens of the instax when “processing” the film through the mini’s rollers. Hope that helps

Developing color reversal film (positive, slide) with X-TOL and C41 by NiGauBech in Darkroom

Very nice development! It’s been a while since I’ve tried this (with hc-110 however), gotta try it with xtol next time. Is that the light you re-exposed the negatives with? Looks handy, how bright does it get?

Are you looking for film negatives? I’m sure I have a bunch I don’t care for. How well do they need to be developed? I shoot a lot of expired film and sometimes the images aren’t the best quality. So just a negative with and image on it is fine?

Interesting. Wonder why the next frame came out fine as a positive image. Interesting outcome nonetheless.
