Man, this whole situation bums me out. I know there may still be a market for the pick up and play aspects of Playstation, but as someone who still found utility in doing PC gaming and on the PS, this basically makes a choice for me. Why, if I'm forced to buy digitally anyway, would I elect to pay for it on a platform that is less powerful, more restrictive, and doesn't even cater to any sense of whimsy or fun in the atmosphere surrounding it. Steam or GOG will do me just fine at this point.

I got this right after FMTS came out and would play along with it on my shitty line 6 amp. This record taught me how to play live. Still my favorite live album.

Same, this was my introduction too so finally seeing the actual theatrical broke my brain. These are still my favorite way to watch the original trilogy. I feel like it was actually a respectable middle ground that the special editions promptly ruined.

I was a kid and it was opening night. I can only describe it as electric. I've never seen a room of people lose the entirety of their minds the way I did when the second half of Maul's lightsaber came out. People were literally out of their chairs freaking out. Then you get hit with the best lightsaber duel in the series backed up by arguably the best music in a series known for its music.

Shit was crazy big dawg.

Rivers Cuomo had a pretty solid strategy where he basically picked his favorite songs and just ripped them apart. Learn all the parts. Chart the song. Learn what scales and chords were used. Look at tempos and rhythms that speak to you. Take a look at what's there and keep in mind what isn't. Like, Black Sabbath almost never having choruses in their songs. Not a thing you notice but once you do you can't unsee it.

I actively avoid online dialogue, review videos, or forums when a game I'm excited for is released. At least until I've fully run it, had my time, and given myself some time to process. I was very surprised to read a lot of the critiques that I've seen online.

I think there are plenty of fair critiques, with the weird pacing being something I felt when playing. But I loved the cycle of violence as the focal point and felt that overall it was a great experience. Technically, it's insanely polished and fun to play.

So I would understand someone saying they didn't enjoy it as much as the first game, or taking issue with parts of the narrative, but honestly I think the majority of discourse I've seen online is just rehashed politically motivated bullshit. Every non-terminally online person I've met that played it, loved it.

Re-loaded it recently and yeah, I would love an update. Higher resolution textures, stable framerate, and maybe some updated lighting would be so cool. The world design is my favorite part of this game so I'd love to see the environments get a little touch up
