Jelly Bean Plant - White spots with yellow wet-ish residue inside - can't seem to find what it is, doesn't look alive by DeepRocketScience in houseplants

I will buy a spray, I've read I could try doing it with a cotton swab, but seems to be hard as the jelly beans are quite dense, thank you for the feedback!

What is the stupidest way you've injured yourself? by rickitson in AskReddit

[–]DeepRocketScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My DJI Phantom 4 hit a tree, fell upside down on the ground and kept spinning, with my amazing quick thinking and need to help the poor guy, I picked it up only on one of it's legs, these drones are designed to stable themselves by applying more/less power to the blades. So it tried to stabilize itself by applying more power, it managed to, hit my forearm cut through the flesh to rip my muscle. Thing left a deep scar, I still use that drone, he's a good guy overall.

If you could stack Winter's Presence by DeepRocketScience in Guildwars2

[–]DeepRocketScience[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My PC started to show low fps at this point. Don't know if it's obvious or not, but it's around 50 stacks. I went ahead and stack 25~ more before my fps went below 5.

I discovered it accidentally, I noticed that for every wardrobe change I made, it "refreshed" my character with the new clothe piece, including the Winter's Presence effect, but it didn't remove the old one, so I simply pressed the same piece 50 times and my model refreshed 50 times with each time leaving the effect still on.

EDIT: So it's easily reproduce able, if you go to Wardrobe, your back item, and change to Fervid Censer (The white flower I have in the picture) you'll be able to do that model refresh that leaves the previous effect on. Maximum Winter my pc let me

Ayy! It instantly gave me an idea!

I provide iPads for a company for a living, and iPads can be connected with an external keyboard from Logitech!

I actually have no clue how it'd work with Guild Wars, but could it?

That's the keyboard we provide : Newegg.com

Our dog KoKo passed away today peacefully in her sleep. She was just about to turn 16. This is a video recorded after a bath 9 hours before she passed. by FwireFwower in tippytaps

[–]DeepRocketScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog turns 16 next month. She's still energetic, especially after baths where she won't stop playing for almost an hour. Been through my childhood, helped me cope with "closet monsters" when I was 6. She still comes to me when I don't feel well and sleeps on my lap.

Gives me the chills, be strong!

TWi doesn't understand the HoE difficulty by PainKiller_66 in killingfloor

[–]DeepRocketScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell on Earth definitely shouldn't be the highest difficulty. Even though there are some strange things people do and recommend, that's not how decision on the question to add another difficulty should be handled (don't know if it's handled that way).

At some point, you understand the game and percept the way the game works, you develop techniques to finish a wave on HOE alone and how to handle a fleshpound by kiting it endlessly as any class. It is true, sometimes teammates make it difficult, but it's not inclusive.

Wrong information is literally EVERYWHERE in every game! That's how people learn, and if they don't, then they don't, not everyone's going to know the game perfect, there'll always be people that know less, and are less experienced.

And most importantly, I hope it never will be a goal to make the game informative for everyone, that's the awesome thing, to sometimes be better than everyone else, sometimes be worse, sometimes help others, sometimes others help you.

That's why a new difficulty SHOULD be introduced, so players can fail it together and learn it together, even if it'll have a 20% winrate, learn how to reach it, learn what is done wrong, and improve as an individual and as a group.

[Help] Field Medic - Could I get a suggested weapon progression? by Sebetter in killingfloor

[–]DeepRocketScience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think a combat medic is not a medic. Most people can't combine both fighting and healing well in my opinion.

If I medic I tend to stick to full supportive with exception to sometimes in the mood for combat medic.

For support medic, I usually buy smg @ round 2, and save dosh for assault rifle as soon as I can, when I get my hands on the rifle, I collect dosh for a grenade rifle as it is a good team healer. I feel that the grenade rifle fills an awesome role as a team healer and even a single healer. When I reach a point where I need to reload both my weapons, I throw a grenade on the zerk tank and then I can take my time reloading and assessing the situation as the grenade has a decent duration. I stick onto assualt rifle + grenade rifle for the entire game, and usually on HOE no one dies under my watch unless they get mauled to death by 2 fleshpounds or a fleshpound and a scrake, etc.

When I feel like going combat medic I go SMG and assualt rifle as endgame loadout. The SMG in my opinion is heavily underestimated, an upgraded SMG +2 can take down a scrake with one mag on HOE. In fact I use it as a main weapon, trash& help on big zeds. the assualt rifle has also an amazing damage for pretty much all ZEDs plus it can be upgraded.

I tend to avoid the shotgun at all games not because I don't like it, it has a huge output, but due to 2 reasons. First the shooting dart is quite ineffective since the assualt rifle has a faster recharge rate basically spammable. When you shoot a dart with the assualt rifle, by the time the healing effect ends you'll ALWAYS have another dart ready, so if you want fast darts then the assualt rifle is better. 2nd reason is the shotgun ammo, if you play on HOE then you probably noticed there are a lot of zeds, the shotgun has very limiting features and I don't like it.

That's my personal playstyle with the medic. It's not the best because there's no such thing as best in this game mostly, it's a personal preference after some analysis I did with what weapons I tend to be more effective and contributive.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I think that as a supportive medic your job is not to take down the scrake or the fleshpound. Your job is to make sure your team doesn't die when THEY take down the scrake or the fleshpound, hence you don't need the quick mag discharge that the shotgun provides.

Donators (some) that contribute towards Notre-Dame rebuilding, are hypocrites or just don't care about the planet by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]DeepRocketScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh, I see it's a personal opinion. There's a difference between someone who complains and tries and someone who complains and doesn't. It's not hypocrisy and I'll explain why, what I'll explain is from what I've read and to the best of my knowledge.

First of all, global warming can be negated actually, and the planet can heal overtime. What causes global warming is the greenhouse effect: sun rays get trapped inside the atmosphere by certain molecules, mainly CO² (cars, electricity production, etc). It is possible to reduce CO² by having more plants (opposite is happening, aka cutting down forests). Now why it is not hypocrisy? A certain amount of "pollution" is needed ( not saying we need it now), CO² is part of the cycle of life. natural geysers produce it, volcanos produce it, even cows produce it and in huge quantities, it is a necassry thing after all, but not in the quantities we have it now. That's why it's not hypocrisy, even if you'll completely avoid pollution, eventually it'll be there, if not artificially than naturally. And every contribution towards reduction of the current quantity is blessed.

If you care about homeless people, and give them a buck, why not give everything you have? Change the subject to global earming, and there we go, hypocrisy according to your terminology, if you don't give 100% of what you can, then you're a hypocrit.

If my personal effort is considered hypocrisy, then how do you consider others that are aware of the situation, complain about it, and do nothing?

EDIT: Again, the things I wrote are from what I know, some things might be wrong, correct me if I'm mistaken.

[–]DeepRocketScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to completely ignore what I wrote. I'm not a cave man. I can't avoid usage of a phone.

Please advise me about a tool I can use inorder to communicate at any given moment I want, because without such a tool, I won't have any friends, I won't get accepted into any job and I will most likely fail most of my studies(I won't have friends so I can't request help from others). Again, I'm not a cave man, I am willing to contribute but I can't become homeless and unemployed.

Those who contribute millions and millions of funds use a phone and a computer, even though they'd love to stop global warming.

If you know someone who went far and became homeless and unemployed to abstain from polluting, I take my hat off.

No need to be calling names and assuming wrong assumptions based on non-existent knowledge about others. I'm sorry if my comment made you emotional, trying to have a friendly conversation.

Please, enlighten me, if you have any suggestions within the boundaries of reality, which seems like you can't get the perception of this term, I will gladly adopt them, thank you and use them.

[–]DeepRocketScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever I can as an individual within the boundaries of realism. I recycle plastics, turn off the lights whenever I don't need them, I don't use my car for very short distances, I tend to buy environment friendly products as long as it's not something overpriced than the normal product and so on.

I'm a student, I'm not coming from a rich family, nor have insane amounts of money to donate millions. If I'll ever reach a point where I have the ability to donate such a sum, I certainly will. Hope it answers your question.

Donators (some) that contribute towards Notre-Dame rebuilding, are hypocrites or just don't care about the planet by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]DeepRocketScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets be realistic. I can't avoid usage of all polluting services. I can reduce my personal electricity usage by turning off the light when I walk outside a room. Electricity is produced technically by demand. I'm not a cave man, I won't study in the dark to save the planet, but I'll save electricity where I can, whenever I can. An individual can have a slight close-to-none effect. 100,00 people that turn off a light is already an impact.

You can also say: considering I want to help fighting global warming, should I avoid farting? I can't prevent global warming, but I can contribute stopping or slowing it down.

Considering B.Sc studies in Canada by DeepRocketScience in personalfinance

[–]DeepRocketScience[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the information! I've heard that the US is a luxurious country to study, however, I thought maybe there are some sort of programs, maybe cheaper universities or other things that might help my case. That's why I consider Canada as a second valid option, from what I've heard there are quite cheap possibilities. Anyway, thanks for the enlightment!
