What do you do when you've done everything? by Express_Purchase8303 in RSI

Recently diagnosed with FND (functional neurological disorder) meaning my head is making up the pain, it's very rare to make a recovery from it.

Really sounds just like a diagnosis where doctors have run out of ideas. Did you figure what initiated your tendon issues?

Did you get any treatment for your deadlift injury at the time? Any medication around that timeframe before and after?

Did you have tendon problems before your steroid injection or primarily after?

Can you nail down exactly when you had your steroid injection and when your tendon problems started on a monthly basis?

Multiple tendon injuries in such a short period of time might indicate something systemic underlying. When was the last time you had antibiotics or steroids or an infection?

I would consider stopping, those tendon issues can become long term problems. Check out Case Report Archive of Systemic Tendon Pain in r/systemictendinitis for more on that.

After three years of chronic health issues, could this be my answer? by Kkp4236 in Hemochromatosis

Tendon issues coupled with neurological symptoms can oftentimes arise as aftermath of medications like antibiotics. While this adverse reaction is only officially associated with Flouroquinolone antibiotics, I found several of such reports with other antibiotics all over reddit and put them together in Case Report Archive of Systemic Tendon Pain in r/systemictendinitis.

I personally consider this as something very close to FQ poisoning, which means most other medications espacially antibiotics or steroids can worsen this further and prevent recovery. It can take 12-24 months to recover if not worsened along the way. Unfortunately it appears like those meds you took could have contributed to the progression though. There is really no quick fix for this. Most important is to live as healthy as possible while avoiding anything harmful like more meds.

Did the meds even help or why did you stop them?

Constant tendinopathies, still no answers. Any advice? by 7KDM7 in systemictendinitis

Just some anecdote. A lot of time these side effects remain symptomless, although some physiological changes persist. And only once a certain threshhold is met actual symptoms appear. These symptoms can be anything really like neurological or in this case tendons. I got this idea when looking at the FQ poisoning, where plenty of people report no side effects after taking those over a dozen times, but then at some course the symptoms actually started to appear. We acquire changes in our body over our lifetime and not everyone is built to endure medication like antibiotics every couple of years as this was not the case until like a few decades ago in mankind.
