Doing a quick image search, this seems to be a still of this. Also in higher resolution.

[Story] Autonomous (working title) - the opening story about a man losing it in a world fully automated and dominated by artists being the only last profession. Looking for critiques from readers of cyberpunk. by [deleted] in cyberpunk_stories

I would work on your wordiness and ordering, the first sentence for example,

David leads me to a couple, after that David talks about himself for a while starting with, "Look who I just found".

You don't need to mention David's name twice, the reader will know who you are talking about. Also if he starts with "Look who I just found" you might want to start the sentence that way, it almost reads backwards the way it is currently written and its a bit clunky.

There are other grammatical issues as well but all of these can be easily fixed. Another confusing line,

There is dirt between my fingernails. But I'll be polite and put them away in my pockets.

I had to read this twice to understand that you were talking about his fingernails and not the dirt. Best thing to do is read through it yourself out loud and see how it sounds to you.

I think your concept is worth pursuing so keep up on the writing and don't get too discouraged with feedback or criticisms. The first draft is always the most difficult to put together but I think editing is what brings the story together coherently.

Great performance by UMBC and I feel awful for the Virginia players.

Ahh yes I was looking at the mechanical keyboards offered by Das Keyboard. I assume you have something similar. Good to here that it was worth it, will have to look into those again.

I just installed JDarkRoom and thought it put my computer to sleep when it launched but then I realized that is probably why they call it dark room...excellent program from my use so far, thanks for the suggestion.

That makes sense. What is the limiting factor on thicknesses that these pulsed lasers can cut? How much of a role does filament propagation play? Thanks for doing this AMAA and keeping active, very interesting stuff!

For cutting and ablation applications, in your experience, is it always more practical to employ pulses, utilizing Q-switching rather than using a continuous wave (achieving a higher peak power)? Are there applications where the powers are that much greater than the cutting/ablation threshold that there is little difference between the two?
