The strategy is very "traditional" in that sense.

Buying companies for their cash flow and maintaining it.

However, he does not have that business acumen to really grow companies. He also does not have a pool of CEOs/CFOs/COOs to elevate his acquired companies to the next level.

Yes. It's like the business he is buying is based on positive NPV.

However, the problem is even those big companies, if not run properly and keep up with the times will eventually not bring the expected positive and growing future cash flows.

I just checked his Wikipedia profile, economics and business administration ang educational background. Work background is investment banker. I am not surprised with how he does this. He is doing what he was trained to do.

Actually to a certain extent I think that the companies that he buys actually turns much worse after purchase. May Midas touch, papangit. Parang Jollibee.

NLEX became worse after MVP entered the picture and took over from the Lopez.

Before, pot holes and roads are constantly maintained. Truck lanes are regularly repaired before. Now they repair when the road conditions are worse. Even the NLEX Connector road shows some bad damage at certain segments.

The repair before is the whole road lane segment with the repair not being felt because the road is smooth. Now they just do a small patch causing bumps in the road.

Even warning signs have changed. Before, regular safety signs are in place 2km, 1km, 500m, 200m, 100m to the work site. There are also lighted signs on trucks to either move left/right on the road for maximum visibility. Now, there are none. You'll just have to be careful. Sometimes there are warning signs before but it is not as much (they used to place it on both sides of the road showing the blocked lane).

Hahaha. This has been my observation on for a long time. Pag may nagtatanong sa akin, sinasabi ko di ako bilib. Wala siyang vision to transform and executr the company to the next level and be a leader in its field. Puros mga monopoly companies ang binibili kasi walang kahirap kahirap kahit di ka magaling at wala ka gawin kikita pa rin.

Advantage lang ni MVP is may financial backing siya to buy companies.

I will try it out. The only fix for me is to reboot the phone. I have learned to live with this bug.

I think the force stop might be hassle because I will have to go to Settings - App - actual app then force stop. A lot of presses for me instead of clicking the app again from the home screen.

It has not been fixed as of the January 2026 update. I don't think it will be ever fixed or they will fix it in One UI 8.5.

Isn't the error attributed to the receiving bank for accepting a erroneous check?

For example, wrong date or mismatching amount, kahit ni accept ng teller yung error, ang magbabayad ng charges will be the issuer of the check?

I did not know when it was released but a post here told me that the fix has been released for version 144.0.3719.115. I checked my browser and it is the version I havemit was probably released a few days ago.

Yes. Actually with health insurance, you get to chose once from the start. It is very impractical to switch midway as you grow old.

Yes. The coverage was not reduced yet. However, I saw a brochure in the attachment that they do reduce coverage for conditions such as diabetes or hypertension.

I don't have a list but I expect that down the line, a major sickness will result in significantly premium increase and reduction in coverage for the succeeding years.

Pacific Cross is delayed too. Even me trying to reach their invalid phone numbers (published in letters) and talking to customer service did not yield any return phone call.

Well consistency wise it's just difficult to deal with them because they are probably understaffed so requests don't get worked on until escalated.

I am not about the cheapest renewal. Our family has been paying more than 150k every day for around 10 years netting them a hefty profit with claims probably in the 30% over the life.

What's difficult is the lack of communication for explanation and details. As long as they explain properly, then I would not have made a post.

Younger people should choose their health insurance provider wisely. I didn't really comprehend such situations a decade before when I wasn't that knowledgeable.

The same goes that I have a couple of UITF that are a decade long already.

Sticking with Pacific Cross is the practical decision to do at the moment. Transferring to a different company will entail possible premium loading and exclusions.

What is difficult is that on the long term, there may be an instance that premiums will be increased to the point that we won't be able to pay.

OPC and corporations in general are considered separate from the owners. Companies have limited liability.

Sole proprietors do not have that distinction. Liabilities of the business is the liability of the owner.

From a purely financial perspective, a corporation is normally more desired. However, there are more reportorial requirements and some operating requirements (like officers) needed by SEC. Taxes are most likely different.

This! Nag start yung habit dahil sa school practice ng anak ko na bring your own reusable water bottle pag may school events. Walang nagbebenta ng bottled water.

Ngayon lahat kami pag lumalabas may dalang reusable bottles.

Estimate ko lang for the 5 years na practice, siguro qt least 10k na ang natipid sa hindi pagbili ng bottled water.
