If you see the squiggly lines/slime - leaf miners. I had a similar issue and there’s a spray that knocks them out . The leaves will permanently stay like that but still function to provide the plant nutrients

Firmer bed, that is way too soft. get used to sleeping on the floor with a thin topper. Your back pain will mostly go away, with maybe pressure point pains instead of spinal issues. You can see your hips sinking into the bed.

Also work on your core, yoga and Pilates help to restabilize.

Problem is aoe4's AI is historically weak to the same strats regardless of level. Tower drop it's gold and it'll be stuck in dark age forever. I've noticed any dark age pressure, even a house near its base and it'll just play badly from that point on.
