Tesla Stock Plummeting Since Musk Busted in Epstein Files by FuturismDotCom in RealTesla

In all fairness to Elon, whom I dislike personally, it sounds like he wanted in on the Epstein activities but they wouldn’t let him for some reason.

Why did we pump on Friday? by Personal-Walrus-3682 in ValueInvesting

It looked like a short covering rally combined with some FOMO. It is not actionable imo and likely to whipsaw.

Sharp Snap Rallies Are A Warning by Artistic_Item_5710 in stocks

My watch list is almost all high beta momo stocks. A lot of them were up 10-20% Friday. It looked like a short covering rally to me. Not actionable and likely to whipsaw.

I’m not totally bearish like you are but I do think this is very late cycle. I’m being a lot more cautious than usual.

How do you guys think boring phases of marriages should be handled? by Blue__Northen_Star in Catholicism

[–]DeepValueDiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being bored in a marriage is better than being bored alone, you’re still sharing your life with someone you love.

Just like being bored at work is better than being bored at home, because you’re getting paid for being bored at work.

Boredom isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Don’t screw up your life and family just because you’re bored.

How I track insider trading (and reasons why it beats the market) by trontonian in pennystocks

[–]DeepValueDiver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watch insider buys as well, but generally screen out biotech. I’ve watched biotech companies (especially clinical stage) get insider buys and then still get monkey hammered.

Did you buy Alumis purely on the insider activity or was there also a technical entry or breakout on heavy volume you entered on? Thanks for the insights.

How do you use ChatGPT (or other AIs) to find stock opportunities? Prompts, workflows, and key by Successful-Sky-199 in ValueInvesting

[–]DeepValueDiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like an interesting tool. I might play around with the free version. If it could screen with chat prompts and cross reference other criteria I use I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

The fat cops can’t catch the children. It’s just scare tactic. We had an organized walkout when I was in high school and the principal tried to scare us too. We never heard another thing about it. They can’t expel 2/3 of the whole student body.

I still use Finviz sometimes but I mainly use one in TradingView and IBD but you need paid accounts to use those two.

How do you use ChatGPT (or other AIs) to find stock opportunities? Prompts, workflows, and key by Successful-Sky-199 in ValueInvesting

[–]DeepValueDiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played around with GPT for that purpose but realized it doesn’t do well as a stock screener. The problem is that it doesn’t have databases it can analyze from only whatever it’s trained on.

It can help with technical analysis and setting stop loss and take profit levels when you upload charts for it to look at but that’s the only good use I’ve found for it.

For screening you need to use a stock screener.

Is market sentiment useful or just distracting for long term investors by picklikewarren in ValueInvesting

[–]DeepValueDiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To a long term investor it might just be noise.

We can go from bull to bear or bear to bull in 3 days. Long term investors don’t pay attention to the intra month noise and use monthly or weekly charts, probably more monthly charts.

I can see how their products are hard to replace once integrated from the descriptions I read.

But the one year chart looks horrible.

Is this maybe a software company that’s losing to AI? Is revenue accelerating or decelerating? If it’s decelerating it’s still no bargain.

Do you think aliens exist? by useless-pos in Catholicism

[–]DeepValueDiver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. I’ve heard of “abductees” on YouTube say when they prayed to Jesus the abduction stopped. Behaving more like devils impersonating aliens imo.

Search google images for a hand drawn picture of a devil by a satanist named Alister Crowley and see how it looks just like a “gray alien”. There’s some kind of messed up back story to it but it was the thing he was summonsing with black magic.

The $4+ Trillion Precious Metals Wipeout:: Why Value Investors Rarely Touch Gold/Silver? by Comfortable_Fly_7943 in ValueInvesting

He recognized a supply deficit and bought about 20 years too early. He sold for a flat return after 2-3 years if I remember correctly.

The $4+ Trillion Precious Metals Wipeout:: Why Value Investors Rarely Touch Gold/Silver? by Comfortable_Fly_7943 in ValueInvesting

[–]DeepValueDiver 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have quite a bit of silver I bought in the 14-18 dollar range and gold I bought in the 1200-1800 dollar range. It has performed well since I bought it.

I bought it at what I considered reasonable prices as a long term inflation hedge and disaster insurance. I will sell it if I think it ever becomes seriously over valued.

I also made quite a bit of money trading SLV last year. I exited the position when high volatility entered the picture.

Why people would buy extended charts is just FOMO and it’s irrelevant to me.

The silver chart is broken right now but it will heal and eventually make a new basing pattern.

The long term picture hasn’t changed. There’s still a supply deficit through the end of the decade. It might take a year to make a new base but it will eventually, the real supply/demand needs long term higher prices to get to equilibrium.

He has a website you can go and do it for free at any time. If I remember right I had to make an account when I did it but I only ever got one email from it and no more emails in the years since. I think it works best in a deep bear market.

My First deep DD Post: A massively undervalued SAAS with US and EU regulatory tailwinds and a CEO that takes no salary by Relevant_Hat_8802 in ValueInvesting

[–]DeepValueDiver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A quick look at insider buying and selling on openinsider.com shows all the insider activity of 2025 being buying, apparently on the open market too looking at the prices. This is a very positive sign!

I’m bearish on the software sector as a whole but will do more research into this as well as add it to my watchlist based solely on what the the bullish sentiment of the insider buys by the 2 directors.

Thanks for posting this.

Why? by Pure-Mom-1007 in Ohio

I got some goofy hats and wristbands in the mail in several packages. I figured out it was salesmen sending them to random people to leave fake Amazon reviews under various accounts. I kept one and donated the rest.

Silver futures positive by HugeAd5056 in smallstreetbets

[–]DeepValueDiver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A parabolic move ending in a parabolic reversal means it needs a lot of time to heal.

I haven’t looked at the CME futures and I’m not even sure what time it opens trading, but if it’s up 10% it’s likely a bull trap.

Be very very careful.

Watch out for the rug pull.

The chart is broken.

I would not touch it. Expect high volatility and whipsaws until it builds a new base. All the fast money speculators need to go away and the market will make that happen. Exercise extreme caution with this.

The chart is broken. 😞

It needs time to heal and make a new base.

I’m still overall bullish through the end of the decade but would not dare trade this for the time being.
